Kevin Bacon shared a steamy throwback picture with his wife Kyra Sedgwick on social media.
The two looked cozy as Kevin was spotted shirtless in the bathroom mirror picture, while he embraced Kyra, who donned a simple black tank top, under his arm.
The restroom featured floral wallpaper and traditional square tiles, a hanging black picture frame and a floating cabinet for storage.
The actor simply captioned the picture: "A vintage selfie #tbt." Fans loved the sweet throwback and flocked to the comments.
One person wrote: "Oh my." Another fan added: "The real thing." A third follower wrote: "Amazing!! Once in a million lifetime kind of love!" One commenter added: "Y'all's relationship is so inspiring and wonderful."
Love has been in the air for multiple decades for the duo. The pair first met on the set of Lemon Sky in 1987.
They immediately hit it off and she recalled how strongly she felt about him early on. Kyra revealed to Vulture: "When I did fall in love with Kevin, it really just felt like there was some urgency to get married, and I don't know what it was. Suddenly this thing came over me and I was terrified."
Kyra believes that her deep feelings came from previous disappointment, contrary to the consistency that Kevin displayed.
She explained: "Because I couldn't count on people. I just didn't. That wasn't where I felt like I would be successful. A lot of people had let me down and so I was not interested in being vulnerable or connected in a really serious way."
Kyra concluded: "He was just the one, you know? He was just the soul mate, he was just the one."
The two tied the knot only a year after meeting. For the couple's 31st anniversary, Kyra posted a sweet tribute to Kevin online which featured a throwback picture from their wedding date.
She captioned the photo: "Not sure how I was so smart at the clueless age of 23.... but I am eternally grateful I did one thing right! 31 years. I love you so, Kevin Bacon."
He captioned a lovely picture of the two singing onstage and captioned it: "31 years today. Harmony. Heartbeats in time. Switching leads. And happy to play backup. I love you Kyra."
It seems that having a strong sense of humor helped the couple last. Kevin comically told People: "I was watching videotapes of our family from the early '90s. Hearing me making these cheesy jokes from behind the camera, I said to my wife, 'When I look at those tapes and hear the things coming out of my mouth, the fact that you have stayed with me is truly heroic.'"
The pair share two children named Travis and Sosie.
