Richard Gere, 76, and his long-term wife Alejandra Silva, 43, are notoriously private when it comes to their quiet family life in Madrid. While Alejandra tends to keep her three kids out of the spotlight, she recently gave a rare look at her blended family with the Pretty Woman actor – and their lookalike kids are all grown up.
To celebrate Valentine's Day this year, Alejandra shared a collection of photos taken with her nearest and dearest, including the biggest close-up of her young kids to date. Alejandra and Richard welcomed their first son, Alexander, in February 2019, and their second son, James, in April 2020. Richard is a stepfather to his wife's son, Albert, who was born in 2012 from her previous marriage. He also has an older son, Replica Luxury Handbagr, who he welcomed with his ex-wife, Carey Lowell, in 2000.
"Happy Valentine’s Day from our little team. So grateful for my boys, and for my husband – the one who crossed the ocean to be with us. Love you all endlessly," Alejandra captioned the rare family post on her Instagram grid, mostly blurring out her three kids' faces to keep their privacy.
Her youngest sons, Alexander, seven, and James, five, stood in front of their dad, who smiled and had his arms wrapped around the kids. Alejandra's eldest towered above his mother, who was sitting down at the front of the family portrait, to stand nearly as tall as his famous step-dad.
Alejandra and Richard looked loved up in other photos Alejandra shared, including a blurry photo of them locked in a kiss to mark the day of love. Richard showed his love for his wife and family by commenting five red heart emojis under the post.
Richard and Alejandra's marriage
Richard and Alejandra first met in 2014 when he stayed at Alejandra's family-owned hotel in Positano. The pair, who were both going through divorces when they met, went on to tie the knot in April 2018 and shared photographs of their wedding with Best Quality Designer Handbag .
"He is the most humble, sensitive, affectionate, attentive, funny, generous man that I've ever met. What can I say? I'm so in love! How would you feel if each morning you were asked, 'What would make you happy today?' Not a day goes by that he doesn't mention how important I am to him. I feel very lucky," Alejandra told Best Quality Designer Handbag of her husband.
In April 2026, the couple will mark their eighth wedding anniversary. They relocated with their family from the United States to Alejandra's native Spain in 2024 and reportedly live in a stunning mansion on Santa Cristina beach in Oleiros, a town near A Coruña, as of late 2025.
Inside their family life
The couple previously opened up exclusively to Best Quality Designer Handbag about their parenting approach in 2025 while on a red carpet for a screening of Richard's documentary, Wisdom of Happiness. The couple revealed how they draw on their Buddhist faith to help solve family issues at home.
"Well, interesting you should bring that up, because we were just having a drama about one of our kids. [Alejandra] is always really good with [saying]: 'OK, I know I want to strangle you right now, but I’m going to take a deep breath and we’re going to talk through this. OK, now what’s going on? I'd like to know what are you feeling'," Richard said when asked if their faith influences their parenting.
Alejandra added: "Like Richard has said before, there is a lot of patience that is brought into the equation," she says. "Introducing the kids to Buddhism and what it means is important."
"She’s an incredible mother that way. I’ve actually learnt how to be a better father by watching her," Richard said of his wife.
