It's not just David and Victoria Beckham who are currently estranged from Brooklyn Beckham, as the eldest Beckham child has also cut ties with his younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz.

During a walk with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, Cruz was asked whether he had any "well-wishes" for his brother on his birthday, to which Cruz responded: "Happy birthday." When asked whether there was any possibility for the Beckham family to repair their relationship, he said: "I hope to."

Cruz's surprise comments come just a day after he wished Brooklyn a happy birthday, when the aspiring chef turned 27 on Wednesday. Cruz's message featured a snap of the two brothers together as young children, and he captioned the post: "I love you."

Cruz's involvement in family feud

Cruz has been one of the more vocal members of Beckham family as Brooklyn started to become estranged. Fans started noticing a rift growing between the Beckham's when Brooklyn stopped attending family events and sharing tributes for major milestones.

In January, Brooklyn shared a bombshell statement speaking against his parents and hitting out at what he called "controlled narratives" and "inauthentic relationships". Despite Cruz's new olive branch, in the post, Brooklyn explained that he had no intention to reconcile with his family.

Last December amid reports that David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son, Cruz responded: "My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked…as did I." Romeo and Cruz had reportedly been unfollowed by their older brother back in July.

At the time of the unfollowing, both Romeo and Cruz had seemingly made pointed remarks in regard to the family feud. Romeo previously reposted a snap from the Audrey Hepburn film Roman Holiday, including the famous line: "What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency." Below the photo, he wrote, "Be nice to people and don't tell unnecessary lies," alongside a kissy face emoji.

Meanwhile, Cruz had shared a message that read: "It takes 43 muscles in your face to frown and 17 to smile." He then added: "Be kind and tell the truth." Cruz added several pointing hand emojis, indicating the phrase's importance in his post.

However, in the past, the 21-year-old has seemingly extended olive branches in the ongoing feud. Ahead of last Christmas, he shared an image carousel which included a picture of him with Romeo and Brooklyn. In the photo, the trio all stood together on a beach volleyball court in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Brooklyn had his arm wrapped around his youngest brother.

He also previously shared an emotional post to his Instagram Stories on 28 November with a close up photo of his face and the words: "Life is too short to be silent, at least talk it out [crying face emoji]". In a second post, he shared a clip of a brother gifting a guitar to his sibling, which he captioned: "Brotherly love."
