Dame Joan Collins, 92, marked Mother's Day in the UK this year with an ultra-rare glimpse of one of her three grown-up children. The Dynasty star, who is a mother to two daughters and a son from across her five marriages, caught up with her 53-year-old daughter, Katyana 'Katy' Kass for a wholesome family outing to celebrate the annual UK holiday.
"What a lovely Mother's day with my wonderful daughter and husband," Joan captioned the rare family photo with her youngest child and her husband, Percy Gibson, posted to Instagram on Monday. Katy, whom Joan welcomed in 1972 with her third husband, Ron Kass, smiled next to her famous mother, who had her arm wrapped around her daughter in a side hug.
© Instagram/ @joancollinsdbeJoan looked her usual glamorous self in a pink blazer and statement accessories, including an oversized cross pendant and sunglasses. The star's husband Percy, whom she has been married to since 2002, sat smiling on her other side.
Joan's two other children, daughter Tara Newley, 62, and son Alexander Newley, 60, from her second marriage to Anthony Newley, did not appear to be present for the special occasion, but she gave them a sweet shout-out on social media the day before for Mother's Day. The actress posted a throwback '70s photo on Sunday from when her kids were still little and helping her out in the kitchen. "Recalling my glory days as a domestic goddess making cookies for my three children on Mother's Day," she captioned the nostalgic post.
Katyana keeps a low profile
Katyana's father is the late American businessman Ron Kass, whom Joan was married to from 1972 to 1983. The 53-year-old seemed to have followed in her mother's footsteps into the world of acting when she was little, appearing in The Optimists in 1973 at just aged one.
In her 2022 documentary, This is Joan Collins, Joan opened up about her daughter suffering "very serious brain injuries" and being in a coma at eight years old after she was hit by a car. Katyana had another accident in 2012 after suffering a fall and hitting her head in Joan's Hollywood apartment block.
Katyana has made the occasional public appearance alongside her mother over the years, including a joint outing with her mother and older sister Tara in 2017 at a London auction house.

Joan has been married to her fifth husband, Percy, for 24 years. The Dynasty actress recently took a trip down memory lane to her wedding day in an exclusive chat with HELLO!, recalling special details from the ceremony.
"It was fantastically wonderful. There were so many friends. Sir Roger Moore. Dame Shirley Bassey sang and everybody got drunk," she told Best Quality Designer Handbag in March about her wedding at Claridge’s Hotel in London.
"It has so many memories. It’s where we had our wedding [to Percy Gibson, 24 years ago]… I had my Damehood party here, so it’s almost like a second home to me," she said of the venue.
