Carol Vorderman has hinted that a facelift may be on the horizon as she shares her thoughts on cosmetic surgery. The star said she will likely undergo the procedure within the "next couple of years" and has "no issue" with going under the knife.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Carol, 65, said: "I don't look as good as I did in my 40s, but I don't think I look bad for my age. I have Botox and all of those things, and I'm probably going to have a facelift in the next couple of years."

The broadcaster commented on the potential expense, noting "it's my money, I've earned it, so I'll spend it on what I like". She also insisted that it didn't mean she had compromised on her body confidence: "I am accepting of myself, but I also want to look good, and those two things can go together."

Carol has long been open about the anti-ageing procedures she has had done. "Everyone on telly has Botox," the mother-of-two told The Sunday Times Magazine in 2024. "I look the way I do because it makes me happy."

It comes after the former Countdown presenter has also revealed details of her weight loss journey. She told Saga magazine in October that she strives to be a 'size 9' - which is slightly smaller than a size 10 - and keeps tabs on how her clothes fit rather than by weighing herself.

Carol said: "I literally have not weighed myself since 1999. I just thought, 'What is the point?' It was stupid things like people standing on tiptoes to weigh themselves or not weighing yourself at night and I just didn’t want to become a slave to that."

She added: "I know if I put on weight because my clothes are tighter and I vary between a size 9, as I call it, and an 11…I'm at the lower end of my size right now, and I’m very happy about that. I know making little tweaks to my diet or walking more will help me feel better in my mind and how my clothes fit."

In 2024, Carol shared with the same publication her approach to nutrition and exercise. "I generally have one meal a day – late afternoon – and I do three 45-minute sessions in the gym a week, which I love. Lots of squats for the bum," she explained, adding that she also likes to snack on raw sprouts and relies on a "good bra and jeans that hold you up".
