Nicola Peltz appears to have deleted a photo from her Instagram after fans weighed in with concerned comments amid her ongoing transformation.
The American actress, 31, is currently preparing for her starring role as ballerina Margo in the upcoming movie, Prima. Sharing a glimpse of what appeared to be herself mid-workout while training in the most glamorous gym you've ever seen, Nicola posed for a mirror selfie in her gym wear, showing off her petite frame in black hotpants and a sports bra as part of a 'photo dump.'
"Phone piccies," she captioned the post, while some fans were delighted to comment on how beautiful Nicola looked, others couldn't help but express concern over her petite frame.
"Anyone else worried about the body checking? " I know she lost weight for a ballet role, but something isn’t sitting right," one fan commented.
While some agreed, another replied: "Agreed, promoting being extremely skinny can really negatively affect younger girls. There’s a difference between feeling confident and setting unrealistic standards."
Meanwhile, others jumped to Nicola's defence, writing: "[...} There’s definitely a BIG difference in being concerned and being judgemental. This girl doesn’t owe any of us an explanation. HER BODY. HER CHOICE," red love heart emoji. A second added: "You look beautiful," alongside a red love heart emoji.
The back-and-forth in the comments appears to have prompted Nicola to delete the photo, as it no longer appears in the carousel.
At home with Brooklyn
Nicola has been incredibly open about her eating habits in the past, claiming she has a diet that resembles "a ten-year-old's" as she loves anything sweet, from candy to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
The actress previously confessed in an interview with Harper's Bazaar that she lets her budding chef husband, Brooklyn, do all the cooking, often making her favourite Capellini pasta for her at home, which she describes as her "favourite meal ever."
She told the publication: "'Brooklyn always does the cooking, I am a terrible cook."
Reaffirming her penchant for a sweet treat, Nicola continued: "I definitely have a bad sweet tooth, I can never say no to a dessert. I also can't have that much dairy, but I eat it anyway because I can't help myself," and often chooses waffles or pancakes for lunch.
Other go-tos for Nicola and Brooklyn are their favourite "super easy" salad and a toasted baguette with balsamic vinegar.
"It's just arugula, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and candied nuts with parmesan cheese, and we make a huge bowl of it.
"We love to go get fresh bread, toast a baguette and have butter and balsamic on the side, that's our afternoon snack or Special K cereal with the strawberries, that's my favourite."
