Janet Jackson stepped into the spotlight with her firm friend Donatella Versace to add some extra glamour to a charity event during Milan Fashion Week on Monday. The warmth between the two ladies was clear as they stood arm-in-arm on the red carpet at the Amfar event in Italy - Janet in a beautiful midnight blue wrap-around floor-length gown designed for her by Donatella.Their appearance followed fashionista Janet's front-row seat at Versace's Milan show on Saturday. It wasn't the first time the Versace designer has created an outfit for the 43-year-old songstress, who recently described Donatella in an interview as a "sweet, nurturing woman. "She was also behind the clothes worn by the whole of the Jackson clan at the memorial for their late brother Michaelthis summer.Earlier in the evening, Donatella hosted a dinner party for 150 family and friends, including Janet and her love Jermaine Dupri. And then it was off to the Amfar do – held in conjuction with fashion week - at which the Got til it's Gone singer acted as a co-host.Other stars who turned out to show their support for the glamorous auction event included Kanye West – fresh from his controversial outburst at the MTV Awards earlier this month – and Dita Von Teese, who put on a special burlesque performance for invitees. Canadian beauties Rachel Bilson and model Linda Evangelista were also in attendence.
