Amal Clooney just proved that even the simplest outfit can be instantly elevated with a bold accessory, infusing her sartorial agenda with a striking leopard print courtesy of Versace as she touched down in Milan.
The international human rights lawyer was spotted arriving at Milan's airport the day of the Olympic Winter Games Ceremony alongside her husband, George Clooney. Amal oozed chic in a black mini dress and sheer tights, layering the ensemble with a black longline wool coat for a touch of '90s minimalism.
However, in true Italian style, the 48-year-old paid homage to the city of fashion by her playful choice of footwear. Amal donned Versace's Leopard Slice Knee-High Boots, which feature a pointed-toe, stiletto heel, and pony-effect calf hair. Keeping with the Versace theme, George's wife accessorized with the Versace Medusa '95 Tote Bag in black smooth calf leather.
Amal's luscious brunette locks were styled into her signature bouncy blowout while her makeup exuded soft glam, courtesy of a bronze cheek and glossy lip. The lawyer concealed her eye with a pair of oversized sunglasses for an elegant finish.
Meanwhile, George kept things casual in navy tailored pants paired with a matching jacket, black scarf, and white Adidas trainers.
Amal has become synonymous with her close ties to the Italian luxury house. Who could forget when she graced the Royal Albert Hall in a golden glitterball Atelier Versace garment which was adorned with cascading, sunset-hued sequins for the 2023 Fashion Awards.
These bronze embellishments started small at the top of the dress and increased in size as they went down the skirt. Sequins were stitched together by a net of crystal-embroidered string. The result was a shimmering, ombré effect that glistened in the light from the flashes of cameras. The figure-hugging number featured a mermaid-style silhouette and floor-length cut.
Most recently this year, Amal wore a vibrant green Versace minidress to the Golden Globes After-Party. The shimmering number featured metallic-effect detailing and oversized safety-pin fasteners adorned onto the bodice. The garment was plucked from the brand's spring/summer 2022 collection.
As a fashion writer, I’m revisiting every time Amal has embraced the daring cheetah print over the years.
