Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Damon (née Barroso) don't often step out on the red carpet, but when they do, they certainly make for a chic pair!
On Tuesday, February 10, Matt, 55, and Luciana, 49, made an appearance at the world premiere of Crime 101 at The United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles.
The crime thriller (it's in the name) stars an ensemble cast led by Chris Hemsworth, also featuring Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Halle Berry, centering around a jewel thief's heist that gets muddled due to the involvement of an errant insurance broker, a detective on the case, and another criminal.
Matt arrived at the premiere dressed in a sharp charcoal grey pinstripe suit, perfectly matching his silver fox hair, paired with black-rimmed glasses. Luciana went with a bodycon black tea-length dress with crisscross strap detailing across the top.
The biggest highlight of her red carpet appearance, however, was her brand new hair. Luciana had her brunette locks chopped to shoulder length, styled in loose waves. Her last red carpet appearance was with Matt and their daughters at the premiere of The Rip in New York, where her hair fell almost halfway down her arm.
Also joining the couple on the carpet was Matt's longtime best friend and collaborator Ben Affleck, with the trio pictured laughing up a storm while posing for photos.
Matt and Ben, 53, have been friends for decades, becoming close friends in high school growing up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The pair won an Oscar together for co-writing Good Will Hunting, and have since not only starred together in several projects, but also co-run a production company, Artists Equity.
However, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show back in January, when the host asked the pair about a rumor that Luciana originally had a thing for Ben instead of Matt, the latter confirmed that was indeed true.
"After we'd been together for probably a few months, I think I met her best friend from high school and it came out that the two of them went and saw Good Will Hunting together and her best friend thought I was the cute one and [Luciana] thought Ben was the cute one," he quipped.
"So she admitted to me. I'm like, 'You got the wrong one?!' She told me that 23 years ago."
Ben, who co-produced The Rip with Matt and Luciana, responded with: "She’s a great producer and a really good friend. And I never got that vibe from her," joking: "So I think something I did in real life rubbed it off."
Matt and Luciana met by chance at a bar in Miami in 2003 while filming Stuck on You, when he tried to hide out from some fans. Luciana was the bartender and challenged him to join her behind the bar, and after that, they quickly fell in love. They tied the knot in December 2005.
