Elizabeth Hurley made a glamorous entrance at a star-studded gala in London on Tuesday night in a glittering gown that commanded attention. The model, 60, slipped into a figure-hugging dress with a dramatic leg split for the annual Portrait Gala at The National Portrait Gallery on 17 March alongside a plethora of A-list guests, including Victoria's Secret runway star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas.

The Royals actress sparkled in the asymmetrical dress which featured a long sleeve on one side and a daring thigh-high split on the other with an embellished spiral design encrusted at the hip. The star's leg peeked out from the skirt as she posed for solo photos inside the event. Elizabeth paired her show-stopping gown with silver platform heels, chandelier earrings and a bold smoky eye to offset her pink-hued glam.

The actress was pictured arm-in-arm outside the event with '90s 'It-girl' Tamara Beckwith, who opted for a chic blazer and trousers set with a sheer black lace top beneath. Tamara added a touch of metallic to her look with a pair of open-toed reflective silver heels peeking out beneath her pants.

A star-studded night

The Portrait Gala is an annual fundraising event to support the National Gallery's work and maintenance. The evening invites high-profile guests from across the fashion, art and other industries for a red carpet and dinner.

English model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wowed in a plunging little back dress for the gala on Tuesday night. The former Victoria's Secret Angel looked runway ready in the wrap dress, which she accessorised with a diamond choker necklace and pointed-toe heels while leaving her natural blonde tresses out in waves.

The stars proved the little black dress is a timeless favourite as Slow Horses actress Kristin Scott Thomas arrived in a black floor-length dress. The star rugged up from the evening cold outside in a tan trench coat. Other A-list guests for the night included actor and former talk show host James Corden and his TV producer wife, Julia Carey, actress Rashida Jones and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Elizabeth's memorable style

While the actress has made many glamorous red carpet appearances over the years, one look that still gets talked about is her famous Versace safety pin dress she wore to the London premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994.

"That dress is virtually the only one I’ve ever worn which isn’t in my archive, as it’s in The Metropolitan Museum… but when I get it back, it would be great to try it on again," the actress told HELLO! in September 2025.

"I love re-wearing dresses; over lockdown, I sorted my archive properly and have re worn lots of my 90’s/00’s pieces," she revealed. "I re-wore a white Tom Ford mini dress in Monaco this summer which hadn’t had an outing since before my son was born."

The model recently dug through her archival wardrobe and re wore another old Versace dress from nearly three decades ago. Elizabeth shared side-by-side photos of her wearing the dress in 1999 at the Met Gala and 27 years later in 2026
