Anne Hathaway delivered a full-circle fashion moment worthy of The Devil Wears Prada legacy as she stepped out at A Night With Runway gala reception in celebration of the highly anticipated sequel.
Held at the National Gallery in London against the dramatic backdrop, the evening felt like a love letter to fashion itself. And at the centre of it all was Anne, whose breathtaking appearance instantly set the tone for the night.
Wearing a striking black-and-white striped gown that felt equal parts couture fantasy and modern theatre, the actress looked every inch the leading lady.
The strapless bodice was sharply structured, cinching at the waist before cascading into a voluminous skirt that seemed to float with every step. The exaggerated silhouette, with its sculptural folds and sweeping drama, gave the look a distinctly fairytale quality, as though she had stepped straight out of a high-fashion dream.
There was a knowing nod to her Devil Wears Prada roots too. The bold stripes and playful proportions echoed the film’s iconic relationship with fashion.
Walking hand-in-hand with co-star Emily Blunt, the pair instantly reminded fans why their on-screen dynamic remains so beloved.
Emily opted for a contrasting look in a delicate black lace mini dress, complete with sheer sleeves and a softly flared skirt, offering a darker, more romantic counterpoint to Anne’s statement gown.
Together, they struck the perfect balance between drama and elegance, laughing and chatting as they made their way up the red carpet.
The reunion only became more electric as they were joined by Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep, who arrived in a dazzling, oversized navy sequinned coat paired with sleek black accessories and statement sunglasses.
Effortlessly commanding, Meryl brought her signature authority to the evening, while Stanley looked dapper in a classic tailored suit, the group sharing a series of warm, joyful moments that delighted photographers and fans alike.
Anne's outing comes after she opened up about body image and learning to accept the physical changes that come with ageing.
During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the actress shared how she found wearing one of her "aspirational swimsuits" empowering.
The 43-year-old explained that she usually rotates between two types of swimsuits – one that she describes as the bathing suit "that’s got you no matter what" and the "aspirational swimsuit" that she likes to wear on a "good day."
"I’m ready to have this great day with my family. And I am going to be in front of strangers, and people have phones. And all of the things. But my family is waiting for me. And I looked and I just went, 'What?' And then I looked again and I said, 'You are 43.' And looking at a 43-year-old body, I was like, 'Nice,'" she said.
