Dame Joan Collins was the epitome of glitz and glamour on Wednesday night as she celebrated an exciting new collaboration. M&S Food has officially launched rosé season ahead of the first May Bank Holiday, led by legendary Hollywood icon and M&S Food ambassador Dame Joan.

Aptly, the Dynasty actress, 92, wore a pink look, featuring a rosé-hued suit. She donned a single-breasted blazer with the cigarette trousers to match. As ever with the Hollywood star, Joan was accessorised to perfection.

She wore oversized sunglasses, as well as a dazzling jewel-encrusted bow brooch and a diamond ring. Her hair also exuded glamour thanks to her voluminous blow-dry and a slick of pink lipstick rounded the look off perfectly.

It marks M&S's biggest-ever rosé range with 10 new additions for Summer 2026, with the retailer forecasting a "pink summer" and peak sales of one bottle every two seconds.

"Rosé season has arrived, though I’ve never been one to need permission to pour a glass," Dame Joan said. "Who needs the South of France when you can simply glide into your local M&S Foodhall and find the finest rosé right there? You don’t need a Riviera postcode to drink like an icon, just impeccable taste… preferably chilled."

Meanwhile, M&S winemaker Belinda Kleinig added: "This summer, M&S is helping everyone find their perfect shade of pink, with a stunning selection of rosé wines. New wine on the block is our Lisboa Bonita Rosé from sunny Portugal – fresh and elegant, it's made for easy sipping.

"For picnics and summer parties, our brilliant-value Italian Rosato pouch is perfect for sharing. Whatever summer brings, you can always rely on a glass of sunshine when you have a rosé in your hand. Cheers!"

Dame Joan, who looked prime and ready for pink season, also revealed how she thinks rosé is best enjoyed, and we're taking note…

  1. Rosé always tastes better with a lovely view. Whether it’s picturesque surroundings, a sunlit terrace, or simply being with the right company.
  2. Rosé is sunshine in a glass. As such, it may be enjoyed come rain, shine, or any weather requiring a gentle morale boost.
  3. You don’t need a Riviera postcode to drink like the French, just impeccable taste, preferably chilled.
