BGT star Susan Boyle, 65, unveils fresh Barbie makeover after entering new 'era'


The Scottish singer, who appeared on BGT in 2009, appears to be re-launching her music career - and fans couldn't be more delighted with the news

Susan Boyle left us doing a double take when she stepped out at the Pride of Scotland Awards.

The former Britain's Got Talent star, 65, took to the red carpet in a striking hot pink gown which featured fabulous feathered sleeves and a floral embellishment.

Completing Susan's look were her newly debuted blonde locks, which were styled immaculately straight. The singer's camera-ready makeup look for the evening was comprised of black eye makeup, honey-hued bronzer and pink lipstick.

Susan's Scottish foray is the latest in a string of outings following the performer's re-entry into the spotlight.

Last month, Susan caused a stir online when she posted a series of photographs embracing the 'mob wife aesthetic' rocking a thick fur coat and pair of designer shades.

Other photos showing herself performing in a studio and paparazzi-style shots. In her caption, she teased: "A new era starts tomorrow." 

It's safe to say that fans are delighted to see the singer's return. "Susan, I am seated," one person penned in the comments.

A second added: "Aura is through the roof on this one Subo!," and a third posted: "I know a baddie when I see one." Commenting on her fabulous new hair, a fourth joked: "Armed bobbery."

A-list shout-out

While Susan's social media updates have marked her return to public life, the Scottish-born star was thrust into the spotlight in December when Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet gave her a shoutout during an interview with the BBC.

The US actor named the Scottish singer as one of his greatest Britons alongside seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, David and Victoria Beckham, and underground rapper Fakemink.

Timothee shouted out the former BGT winner

"She dreamt bigger than all of us," he told BBC News, referring to her 2009 Britain's Got Talent performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables. "Who wasn't moved by that?"

In response, she said she was "very flattered", adding: "Those early days were quite something, and to know that moment meant something to you all these years on truly humbles me."

"We all start somewhere, with a dream and a bit of hope, don't we? We should all dream big!

"I wish you every success as you continue to dream your own dream. Thank you for your kindness and for remembering that moment so fondly. With love, Susan."

The actor - who is dating Kylie Jenner -  made the comments while promoting his film Marty Supreme, which has seen him give branded jackets to cultural and sporting figures he deems to be true greats, including Susan, who also was a happy recipient of a jacket
