Queen Camilla is certainly an incredibly stylish woman, and has nailed the art of dressing smartly but always appropriately in your 70s. Though her many dresses and coats are opulent pieces, capturing everything luxurious about modern royal style, it's always her accessories that steal the spotlight.
Whether it's her Chanel ballet flats or one of her many gorgeous bags, the details of the Queen Consort's outfits are often the most eye-catching part. Once again, she has brought out a beautiful, unique piece that immediately caught our attention.
On 4 February, the 78-year-old visited Christ Church Primary School in London to open the library, marking the beginning of the National Year of Reading. Given that her outfit all-round was relatively low-key, her choice of jewellery stood out even more.
As identified by royal style blogger @royalfashionpolice on Instagram, she re-wore one of her many coats from Anna Valentine, and her beloved 'dressage' boots from Russell and Bromley, both in a gorgeous deep black colour.
While her brown leather shoulder bag was gorgeous, it was the beautiful dog brooch on her shoulder with which we fell in love. The piece is a 'Lucky Animals Dog Clip' from Van Cleef and Arpels, in 18-carat yellow gold, mother-of-pearl and onyx, which retails for £6,550.
The Queen Consort frequently wears accessories from the Parisian jeweller, including their signature Alhambra bracelet, but this is by far one of the most gorgeous she's brought out, and we can't help but fawn over how adorable it is!
An expert take on Queen Camilla's jewellery
Clare Pennington, HELLO! Fashion's Editor, spoke to us about why the jeweller has become such a staple of royal and celebrity culture.
"Van Cleef & Arpels stands among the great Parisian heritage brands, its name now synonymous with exquisitely crafted luxury," she explained. "Founded in 1906 at Place Vendôme, the house has earned its impeccable reputation thanks to its refined craftsmanship and the emotional softness of their pieces."
When it comes to the royal family, specifically, the fashion expert explained why they've often shopped with the heritage brand: "The creations transcend trends, favouring timeless elegance over spectacle. For generations, royals have been drawn to Van Cleef, not for ostentatious displays, but for their quiet grace and refinement, qualities that resonate with the ceremonial life of a modern royal.
