Princess Charlene of Monaco joined her husband, Prince Albert, and sister-in-law, Princess Caroline, at the reopening of the principality's Exotic Garden on 25 March after a closure for planned works. Elevating a classic workwear look, the princess, 48, chose pieces from the iconic French luxury fashion house, Louis Vuitton – and looked incredible.
The royal enhanced her towering frame with the three-inch 'Heartbreaker' heels, which featured a stiletto heel and gold 'V'-shaped hardware. To match, the princess carried the mini 'Capucines' bag, as identified by Royal Fashion Police on Instagram, which retails for £5,100 and is crafted from Taurillon leather.
Princess Charlene's impressive designer look
Continuing her high-end streak, Charlene's elephant buckle jacket and leg-lengthening flared trousers were both garments by Elie Saab and collectively retail for £2,620. Adding a further £350 to her look, the princess rounded it off with a pair of Fendi cateye sunglasses.
Of her designer ensemble, Oriona Robb, a luxury stylist with more than 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, tells us: "Princess Charlene's look is a strong example of her signature approach to modern tailoring, and the Louis Vuitton pumps play a crucial role in refining it. The outfit leans into sharp, structured lines, but the sleek, pointed heel introduces just enough femininity to soften the overall effect."
Princess Charlene strikes the balance
"It's a very deliberate balance," she adds. "What makes these heels particularly effective is their precision. The clean, elongated toe and slim heel create a seamless line through the leg, which is especially important when paired with cropped or tailored trousers. Rather than drawing attention, they enhance the silhouette quietly, which is exactly what good styling should do at this level.
"There’s also a sense of discipline in the choice. Charlene isn’t using footwear to make a statement; she’s using it to reinforce the shape of the outfit."
A night to remember
The outing to the Exotic Garden came after she dazzled in Elie Saab at the annual Monaco Rose Ball on 21 March. Channelling a galactic goddess in silver, the princess swept through the Salle des Étoiles in the asymmetrical gown that featured caped detailing and sequins over the bodice.
It was paired with diamond earrings and a sparkly clutch. Her shoes were hidden underneath the floaty skirt.
