Duchess Sophie defied the rain on Saturday at her royal relative Peter Phillips' wedding to Harriet Sperling, wowing onlookers with her chic Beulah London dress in an inviting pastel blue. The dress is one of her favourites - she has worn it many times over the years.
Easily recognisable due to its flamboyant bell sleeves and a delicate thigh split at the hem, the dress matched her pretty Jane Taylor hat in the same eye-catching hue. Sophie last wore this dress in 2025, at the VE Day Service of Thanksgiving, which was held at Westminster Abbey.
Sophie's Beulah London pledge
There's no denying that this style of dress is a regular fixture in Sophie's wardrobe. As well as those fluted sleeves, it also features a fitted waistline and a modest round neck. Timeless in cut, it works for countless engagements, which is why the royal owns the same design in four other shades - yellow, white, coral and red.
Beulah London was founded in 2010 by Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan. Since its launch, it has become a must-have label for many, including the royal family. The collection of classic, covetable eveningwear is championed by some of the world's most high-profile celebrities – including the Princess of Wales and her little sister, Pippa Middleton.
The 2026 royal wedding
Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips looked very much in love at their Cotswolds wedding ceremony in front of members of the royal family. The rain did not dampen the newlyweds' spirits as they posed for photographs outside All Saints Church, which is located in Kemble, Cirencester, close to where the bride, Harriet, grew up.
Peter's family were among the guests, including his teenage daughters from his first marriage to Autumn Kelly – Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14 – as well as his parents, the Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, his stepfather Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, his sister Zara Tindall and her husband Mike.
The King and Queen were also in attendance, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.
