One of the biggest films of last year was KPop: Demon Hunters. The animated musical gave us plenty of catchy K-pop bops including smash hit Golden. The singing voices of the characters performed the song after we returned from the interval, prompting cheers throughout the arena.

RAYE dominated the BRITs in 2024, and the star was back on Saturday night with a performance of some of her biggest songs of the past year, including her global hit Where Is My Husband!. And fans were also treated to Nightingale Lane. I still have goosebumps from the performance! I'm not surprised she got a standing ovation!

Darts champion Luke Littler and I'm a Celeb star Angryginge came onto stage for International Song of the Year, and it was APT that took home the gong. Not going to lie, it was on my playlist earlier today, so I'm not surprised that it was taking home the prize.

Rose spoke of it being an "honour" as she accepted the award, and she paid tribute to Bruno Mars, who sang on the global song.

Who votes in the BRIT Awards?

Like the Academy Awards, the BRIT Awards are decided by a voting academy inatead of members of the public.

Their website explains: "The Academy is comprised of approximately 1,200 members who are responsible for shaping the creative and commercial success of the British music industry, including artists, producers, labels, retailers, publishers, managers, media, live, social and DSPs.

"The Academy and the voting process, including all public voting, is overseen by Civica Election Services – an independent voting scrutineer."

Outstanding Contribution to Music

Mark Ronson has been transforming music for decades and provided the soundtrack to some of our favourite songs. The musician was dutifully awarded Outstanding Contribution to Music, with the award being confirmed earlier in the month. Noel Gallagher accepts Songwriter of the Year

In one of the awards that was confirmed before the ceremony, Noel Gallagher of Oasis fame was given Songwriter of the Year, with Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie handing out the gong. Fans were treated to a montage of the star's hits before he headed to accept the award.

In a surpirising move in his acceptance speech, Noel was quick to praise his brother, though he joked that he was a "bonehead". However, his speech ended with boos as he praised his team of Manchester City.

Mark Ronson pays tribute to Amy Winehouse in performance

After receiving his award, Mark was then back on stage to perform, and there a poignant tribute to the late Amy Winehouse as he performed Back to Black before moving onto their hit Valerie.

There was also a surprise appearance from Dua Lipa as she performed Dance the Night from the Barbie film, which Mark composed for.

After an incredible performance earlier in the show, it was Rosalia who won International Artist of the Year, beating out the likes of Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter.

The star admitted she was simply "grateful" to have been invited to peform, let alone win the award!
