The four celebrities joining as latecomers are:

  • Reality star Gemma Collins (previously on the 14th series in 2014)
  • Actor and DJ Craig Charles (previously on the 14th series in 2014)

Fans will be particularly pleased to see Gemma in the line-up. The TOWIE star is one of the most memorable I'm a Celebrity campmates, having left the camp after just 72 hours in 2014. During her stint on the show, she famously refused to jump out of a helicopter into camp and repeatedly shouted the catchphrase, "I'm a Celebrity… get me out of here!" during a trial.

What to expect from the new season?

Viewers can expect a new twist to the second series. This time, the public will cast the final vote and crown this year's winner. While most of the show will be prerecorded, the final will take place live in London.

Back in September, host Ant McPartlin said: "The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series, so we can't wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape."

Co-host Declan Donnelly added: "Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m a Celeb… standards!"
