Siobhán Cullen and Paapa Essiedu star in the heartbreaking drama

Babies

The BBC's emotional new drama, Babies, continues on BBC One. The series, which comes from Stefan Golaszewski (Him & Her, Marriage), stars Siobhán Cullen (Bodkin) and Paapa Essiedu as Lisa and Stephen, a couple in their 30s trying for a baby.

The heart-wrenching series follows the pair as they navigate the unimaginable grief of pregnancy loss and the strain it places on their relationship.  

Babies is available to stream on BBC iPlayer now. Episode three airs on Monday 6 April at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Sir David Attenborough explores the secret lives of animals in Britain's back gardens

Secret Garden

Ahead of his 100th birthday, Sir David Attenborough turns his attention to Britain's gardens in the BBC's new five-part series. 

Exploring five very different gardens across the UK, the natural historian and national treasure reveals the lives of the "often charming, occasionally daring, always secretive animal characters" that inhabit the hidden worlds of Britain's back gardens.

The synopsis teases: "​​From pine martens in the Western Highlands to dormice in south Wales, swallows in the Lake District to otters in Oxfordshire and blue tits in Bristol, the series reveals not just a rich and surprising diversity of life but also how each species finds its own way to live alongside us."

Secret Garden begins on Sunday 5 April at 6pm on BBC One.

John Simm and Richie Campbell star in the crime series

Grace

Season six of ITV's acclaimed detective drama continues with another gripping feature-length instalment. 

John Simm stars as Brighton-based Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, who investigates grisly crimes for the East Sussex police with the help of DI Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell). 

In season six, which picks up several months after the arrest of corrupt cop Cassian Pewe, Grace's team tackles four complex investigations while the detective's quest for the truth about Sandy's murder ends in devastating consequences.

John Simm is excellent in this gritty police drama, which is based on the book series by best-selling author Peter James. Each standalone film will keep you guessing until the end. 

Grace continues on Sunday 5 April at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

The all-star spin-off is back for the first time since 2023

I'm a Celebrity... South Africa

The all-star version of ITV's iconic reality show, hosted by Ant and Dec, is back for the first time since 2023. 

Some of the show's most memorable campmates will return, taking on brand new trials and tasks – but this time, in the South African wilderness. 

With the trials expected to be tougher than ever, with twists and turns around every corner, the campmates are in for a wild ride. 

The famous faces taking part this year include Olympian Mo Farah, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Waterloo Road's Adam Thomas, boxer David Haye and comedian Seann Walsh.

Coronation Street's Beverley Callard and singer Sinitta are also part of this year's impressive line-up. Rounding out the cast are reality star Gemma Collins, actor and DJ Craig Charles, and former footballers Jimmy Bullard and Harry Redknapp.

In a new twist to the format, the public will have the power to decide who is crowned this year's winner. Viewers will cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast from London. 

I'm a Celebrity... South Africa returns on Monday 6 April at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Jessica Raine and Peter Capaldi star in the dark crime thriller

The Devil's Hour

Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife) and Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) lead the cast of this bone-chilling crime thriller about a woman named Lucy who is woken every night by terrifying visions at exactly 3.33am: the devil's hour. When a series of murders takes place in her local area, a detective works out that Lucy is the link. 

The synopsis continues: "Her eight-year-old son is withdrawn and emotionless. Her mother speaks to empty chairs. Her house is haunted by the echoes of a life that isn't her own."

"When Lucy's name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her all these years will finally come into focus. Capaldi plays a reclusive nomad, driven by a murderous obsession. He becomes the prime target of a police manhunt led by compassionate detective Ravi Dhillon, played by Nikesh Patel (Starstruck)."

The series received positive reviews upon its release in 2022, followed by a second season two years later. 

The Devil's Hour comes to ITVX on Sunday 5 April.

A fresh batch of celebrities rolls up their sleeves in a new series of Bake Off

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer

The iconic white tent is open once again for a fresh set of famous faces taking part in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

The likes of dancer JoJo Siwa, media personality Molly-Mae Hague, actor Emmett J Scanlan, comedian Joe Wilkinson, radio and podcast host Sam Thompson and actress and comedian Ambika Mod will roll up their sleeves and don their aprons for a chance to be crowned Star Baker. 

Joining Paul Hollywood on the judging panel is Bake Off: The Professionals judge Cherish Finden, who takes over following Prue Leith's exit from the celebrity series. 

Under the duo's watchful eye, the bakers will face the Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenges, while hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will be on-hand to offer encouragement and support. 

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer continues on Sunday 5 April at 7.40 pm on Channel 4.

Former Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo give audiences an intimate look at their lives as they navigate the chaotic journey to becoming first-time parents. 

The three-part documentary series follows the pair through Sophie's pregnancy, home renovations and the birth of their son, Ziggy. 

The synopsis reads: "Pregnancy begins with joy, before panic quickly sets in, as medical jargon, home renovations and family opinions pile up. Fun-loving, workaholic Jamie, says he's the boy who won't grow up and struggles to see himself in the role of dad. 

"Meanwhile Sophie balances career highs and the thrill of becoming a mum, with raging hormones and fears of maternity leave and motherhood impacting her career. Jamie and Sophie run headlong into the drama of labour to finally meet their baby - and with family and friends never far away, they laugh and cry their way through the joy and the chaos."

Raising Chelsea premieres on Thursday 2 April on Disney+.

In this three-part factual series, Ben Fogle embarks on the journey of a lifetime to China, where he sees the East Asian country's staggering sights, meets its biggest characters and discovers its true story. 

His journey begins at the Jiankou section of the Great Wall, where he joins a team dedicated to rebuilding it in its original 17th-century style. He then travels to Beijing and experiences the capital through its people.

The synopsis reads: "Ben delves into an epic 3000-year tale of how China got to now – how centuries of Imperial rule gave way to Communist revolution and the breakneck economic transformation of recent years.

"From ancient temples to mega-factories and glittering modern cities, Ben is on a mission to get under the skin of China - how it sees itself in the world and how it’s shaping the future for us all. But above all it's a journey of wonder amid the amazing visual splendour of the real China today."

China with Ben Fogle begins on Monday 6 April at 9pm on 5.

Jon Hamm stars in Apple TV's crime drama

Your Friends and Neighbors

Apple TV's acclaimed crime drama returns for a second outing. Jon Hamm stars as New York hedge fund manager Andrew Cooper who, after finding himself divorced and jobless, resorts to stealing from his neighbours' homes. 

In the dark comedy's ten-part second season, Andrew is still stealing from his neighbours to fund his lifestyle until a new arrival (played by James Marsden) threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk. 

Your Friends and Neighbors season two premieres on Apple TV on Friday 3 April.
