Skins star Kaya Scodelario was reunited with her on-screen boyfriend Luke Pasqualino on Wednesday night. Although it's been 16 years since they co-starred in the hit Channel 4 teen drama, the pair haven't aged a day!

Kaya led the critically acclaimed series as troubled teen Effie, who appeared in seasons one to four, before later returning for the final season in 2013. Luke's character Freddie met a tragic end in season four, which aired in 2010, when he was brutally murdered by Effie's psychiatrist.

Kaya and Luke's rise to fame

Both Kaya and Luke shot to stardom after landing their breakout roles in the coming-of-age series, which ran for seven seasons from 2007.

The drama followed a group of Bristol teenagers navigating the highs and lows of adolescence. It was praised for its raw and controversial portrayal of teenagehood, tackling subjects such as dysfunctional families, mental illness, sexuality and drug abuse.

While Kaya appeared in the first season aged just 14, Luke joined the cast in season three.

Since then, both actors have enjoyed successful careers in showbiz. Kaya went on to land starring roles in the Maze Runner series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and most recently, the Netflix comedy-drama, The Gentlemen.

Meanwhile, Luke went on to star in the period action drama, The Musketeers, from 2014 to 2016, the BBC drama Our Girl and the crime comedy series Snatch. He also plays Basil 'Bas' Baddingham in Disney's hit bonkbuster series, Rivals, which returns with a second season on 15 May.

Last September, Kaya joined her on-screen brother Nicholas Hoult as well as Daniel Kaluuya and Joe Dempsie at a mutual friend's wedding.

The Maze Runner actress posted a photo of the reunion on her Instagram Stories. In the caption, she penned: "The way I used to pray for brothers growing up – knowing I have you all now is everything."

Many of the cast have gone on to become major Hollywood stars, including Dev Patel, who played Anwar Kharral.

Hannah Murray, who played Cassie Ainsworth, went on to star in Game of Thrones before mysteriously withdrawing from the spotlight.

In her new "shockingly honest" memoir, the 36-year-old revealed that she suffered mental health issues and was detained in hospital after becoming involved in a cult-like organisation that promised magic, secret knowledge and increasingly complex rituals.
