Calling all sitcom fans! We're just weeks away from the return of the BBC's smash hit spin-off Amandaland, which stars Lucy Punch as the titular posh and snobby single mum.
The Motherland spin-off, which returns on 6 May, follows Amanda as she adjusts to her new life in South Harlesden (or SoHa, as she likes to call it), having downsized from her home in Chiswick following her divorce.
The sitcom was met with rave reviews upon its release in February last year and was hailed as "incredible" and "absolutely hilarious" by viewers. It became the BBC's number one comedy following its Christmas special, which drew an audience of 7.4 million across 28 days.
Even if you're not familiar with the flagship show Motherland, this laugh-out-loud spin-off is a must-watch. Lucy Punch is brilliant as the highly-strung, tried-hard mum, Amanda, and is supported by a stellar cast. In my opinion, it's one of the best comedies to arrive on our screens last year.

What to expect from Amandaland season two
As teased in the new trailer, season two sees Amanda continue to grow her online lifestyle brand 'Senuous', starting with a talk during careers week at school.
The logline for episode one reads: "Amanda meets Mal's ex Abs for the first time and then discovers that Abs found her shallow. So she decides to use a school careers talk to prove her wrong."
Alongside Lucy Punch, viewers can expect the return of Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous) as Amanda's mum, Felicity, and Philippa Dunne (Derry Girls) as Anne.
Samuel Anderson (Shetland, Gavin & Stacey) will also reprise his role as Mal, alongside Rochenda Sandall (Line of Duty) as Fi.
They're joined by new cast addition Harriet Webb (Big Boys), who can be seen in the trailer.
The inspiration for Motherland and Amandaland
At the show's launch last year, attended by HELLO!, co-creator Holly Walsh shed some light on the inspiration for Amandaland and the original school-gates sitcom, Motherland.
When asked where her ideas came from, Holly, who co-wrote Amandaland with Helen Serafinowicz, Barunka O'Shaughnessy and Laurence Rickard, explained that she would eavesdrop on other people's conversations in public places.
"I sit in cafes and listen in on other people's conversations and write it down word for word," said Holly.
"So if you're in a cafe and I'm anywhere near you, don't say anything loud because I will write it down and use it," she joked.
Holly also said that she and Motherland co-creators Helen and Sharon Horgan drew on their own experiences while working on the flagship comedy.
"We talked about our teenage years a lot, which was really interesting," she said. "What's interesting about teenagers is that no one breaks the mould. They're just awful. Every generation of teenagers are just as bad, so we just talked a lot about our crazy teenage antics and wrote a lot of them down."
