More than 25 years ago, fans became enamoured by a sticky-floored New York bar, low-rise jeans, and a star-studded cast that would ultimately land themselves in the pages of Hollywood's history books.

Coyote Ugly burst onto cinema screens in the early noughties and thrilled audiences with its loud, flirtatious tone and delightful chaos.

While the film, directed by David McNally, became synonymous with a turn-of-the-millennium energy, its cast went on to carve out wildly different paths.

Some became television regulars, some quietly stepped away from the spotlight, and others morphed into entirely unrecognisable versions of their old selves.

Over two decades later, here’s what the stars of Coyote Ugly look like now, and what they are all up to since the blockbuster gifted the world with tracks like 'Can't Fight the Moonlight'.

Piper Perabo soared to fame following her portrayal of wannabe singer Violet Sanford, who moves from New Jersey to New York City to pursue her music dreams. In the film, her character's ambition lands her a job with the Coyote Ugly crew.

Once the film debuted, the star appeared in a number of movies before finding her feet in television and securing her role on Covert Affairs, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.

Piper joined the cast of Yellowstone as Summer Higgins in 2021 and has been married to director-producer Stephen Kay since 2014. Now, she is starring as Colette Akins in the NBC drama series The Hunting Party.

Tyra Banks was well on her way to international stardom when she was cast in the film, and was one of the world's most famous models when Coyote Ugly debuted. In the movie, she played bartender Zoe.

Since her acting role ended, she went on to start her now-infamous show, America's Next Top Model, and was at the helm of it for 15 years. She also hosted Dancing with the Stars from 2020 until 2023.

In 2018, Tyra expressed her love for the film and told People she was "dying" to do a sequel. She said: "I want to produce it - I just need to get the rights from Mr Jerry Bruckheimer or work with him."

The former model has been dating businessman Louis Bélanger-Martin since 2019.

As the bar’s no-nonsense yet caring owner Lil, Maria Bello's character played a key role in Violet’s journey by giving her a chance and believing in her.

Already known for her part in the medical drama ER, Maria went on to star in films including A History of Violence, Grown Ups and Lights Out, as well as TV shows Goliath and NCIS.

Off-screen, she shares a son with her former partner Dan McDermott. She married chef Dominique Crenn in 2024 before filing for divorce the following year.

For Izabella Miko, Coyote Ugly was her big Hollywood breakthrough role. The actress played lively bartender Cammie and reflected on her early struggles during the film’s 25th anniversary screening in Los Angeles in May 2025, joking that before landing the role, she was "selling batteries in Times Square" and attending AA meetings for the free biscuits and milk.

The success of the film helped launch her acting career, leading to roles in Save the Last Dance 2 and Step Up: All In. She also worked in TV and later appeared in NCIS: Hawai'i in 2022.

Bridget Moynahan landed her first major film role in Coyote Ugly just as she was beginning to gain attention for playing Natasha, Mr Big’s wife, in Sex and the City, alongside Sarah Jessica Parker.

She later built a successful TV career with roles in Six Degrees and long-running police drama Blue Bloods.

In her personal life, Bridget shares her son Jack with former NFL star Tom Brady. In 2015, she married New York businessman Andrew Frankel.

His career has remained as busy as ever, with standout roles in Argo, Flight, 10 Cloverfield Lane and sitcom The Conners.

Away from the spotlight, John has been married to Anna Beth Goodman since 1989, and the couple share one daughter.

Since then, Adam has continued working across film, television and theatre, including a role in Death on the Nile.

He has been married to Nathalia Chubin since 2015, and the couple share two children.
