Drama was always brewing at the Falcon Crest winery, thanks to the ongoing family feuds and Angela Channing's ruthless business dealings. It's no surprise she's not best pleased to hear her nephew Chase has inherited 50 acres of vineyard – but thank goodness he did, or we wouldn't have one of TV's best-loved soaps today.

Read on to find out what happened when the Falcon Crest cast were shipped off to the outside world in 1990.

Jane Wyman ruled the roost at Falcon Crest

Jane Wyman

Jane Wyman starred as the matriarch of the Falcon Crest family throughout the beloved soap's near-decade run on-screen. Jane was already a well-known actress, with four Oscar nominations between 1946 and 1954, winning the Best Actress Award for her role in Belinda (1948).

Her role in Falcon Crest filled up her trophy cabinet further, with several Golden Globe wins. Following her time on the soap, she appeared in a 1993 episode of Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman and promptly retired. She passed away in 2007 at the age of 90. She was famously married to US President Ronald Reagan between 1940-1948, and tied the knot five times in total.

Robert Foxworth was something of a moral compass on 'Falcon Crest'

Robert Foxworth

Robert Foxworth was often head-to-head with Jane's Angela Channing as he fought against her immoral business practices. He's also well-recognised as the voice of Ratchet in Transformers and Prophecy (1979).

His last roles have been within the Transformers franchise and an appearance in short film AC as A.C. He has been married three times, most recently wedding Stacey Thomas in 1998. The actor has two children from his first marriage to Marilyn McCormick.

William R. Moses got involved in all the family drama on 'Falcon Crest'

William R. Moses

William R. Moses' Cole is the son of Chase Gioberti, played by Robert Foxworth and often got mixed up in tense family feuds. Away from Falcon Crest, he's well-known for roles in Mystic Pizza and How to Get Away with Murder

He's still working, recently cast in Mystic Christmas (2023) and upcoming series The Spook Who Sat by the Door. The father-of-three has been married twice, wedding now-wife Sarah Moses in 2000.

Jamie Rose starred as Vickie Gioberti in 'Falcon Crest'

Jamie Rose

Jamie Rose got her start with uncredited roles in '60s hits like Family Affair and Green Acres. After an episode appearance on Fantasy Island, she worked on 44 episodes of Falcon Crest between 1981 and 1983. Vickie Gioberti, daughter of Robert Foxworth's Chase, left the show at the start of the third season, though the part was later recast.

She's since guested on beloved shows like Jane the Virgin, Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds. Jamie is also credited on hit drama The Father and the Bear (2016) which was her most recent on screen role, though the actor also appeared on podcast series Behind the Book Cover in 2026.

Chao-Li Chi shared his name with his on-screen counterpart on 'Falcon Crest'

Chao-Li Chi

Through all 9 seasons of 'Falcon Crest', Chao-Li Chi was a welcome soundboard for the ruthless Angela Channing, helped to run the estate and acting as chauffeur. Occasionally, the actor's martial arts background was incorporated, for instance, teaching Lance Cumson T'ai Chi.

He had several small roles following Falcon Crest, including his final appearance on Lee Pace comedy Pushing Daisies. Chao-Li was married to Ligia Chi until his death in 2010. He is reportedly survived by a daughter and step-son.

Nick Ramus

Nick Ramus appeared on 13 episodes of Falcon Crest as Gus Nunouz, friend to Robert Foxworth's Chase. Born in 1929, Nick is best known for his work on Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) as Saratoga Helmsman and Son of the Morning Star (1991) as Red Cloud.

The actor was married to Kaysie McCallister from 1995 until his death in 2007. Nick also appeared on Born to the Wind, an episode of Little House on the Prairie as Little Crow, and in his final role in front of the camera in 2006's The Treasure of Painted Forest.

Lorenzo Lamas' Lance Cumson was the resident bad boy of 'Falcon Crest'

Lorenzo Lamas

If you were looking for the bad boy of Falcon Crest, you couldn't go wrong with Lorenzo Lamas' Lance Cumson. Angela Channing's irresponsible grandson made for great entertainment through each of the soap's 227 episodes.

Lorenzo is still working today, with recent projects including action films like Renegades (2022) and The Firing Squad (2024).

Abby Dalton

Abby Dalton starred in 99 episodes of 'Falcon Crest', bringing to life heiress Julia Cumson, daughter of Angela Channing and mother to bad boy Lance. The Primetime Emmy nominee also appeared in an impressive 96 episodes of Hennesey (1959-1962) and 91 episodes of The Joey Bishop Show (1962-1965).

Following her success on Falcon Crest, Abby had guest credits on shows like Murder, She Wrote and L.A. Heat. Her last role came in 2013 with the short film Mrs. Sweeney, with Abby in the title role. The actress sadly passed at the age of 88 in 2020, survived by three children.

Margaret Ladd

Margaret Ladd appeared in 193 episodes of Falcon Crest between 1981 to 1989. She got her start with shows like Eight is Enough, Quincy M.E. and Taxi but it was the resilient, ever unlucky in love Emma Channing that won audiences over.

Margaret is still acting today, bringing that same sensitivity to each of her roles, with recent projects including 2023's The Country Club, short film Just in Time and Crisis in Six Scenes. Margaret has been married to Lyle Kessler since 1977 and the couple share two children.

Susan Sullivan

Primetime nominee Susan Sullivan might be most familiar to fans as Maggie Gioberti Channing, wife of Chase Channing, but she's also starred as the intimidating Isabelle Wallace in My Best Friend's Wedding and cop drama Castle between 2009 to 2016.

The Dharma & Greg star is still seen pretty regularly on screen with features like romantic drama Magic Hour (2025), drama The Grotto (2022) and thriller Diary of a Spy (2022). She's been in a committed relationship since 1989 with psychologist Connell Cowan.
