The Met Gala may have been two days ago, but the world is still discussing everything from the plethora of couture dresses to the standout beauty looks. Celebrity nails may not be the first thing one notices when Hollywood's elite steps out, but they should not be overlooked.
A case in point is the legendary Nicole Kidman. We were mesmerised by her mermaid-esque, waist-length blonde hair, immaculate makeup, and glittering red Chanel dress, which came complete with a torso-trimmed bustle and cuffs, handcrafted entirely from feathers.
But did you spy on her manicure? The 58-year-old actress sported what one may describe as an 'undone' tonal manicure. The Moulin Rouge star sported long, almond-shaped nails in a soft, pearlescent shimmer. Perfected by manicurist to the stars, Thuy Nguyen, she also preened Nicole's daughter, Sunday Rose's talons, too. Musing over Nicole's nails, the talented professional said, "It was about a quiet, subtle, and elegant moment."
Thuy carefully applied two products from Joonbyrd - the 'Confetti Sky Hand Treatment, £50 / $56, and the 'Wonderland Hand Lotion',£55 / $72. You can purchase both these products, full size and in handbag-ready form. The combination of the two had an incredible, anti-ageing effect. The Confetti Sky hand treatment is brimming with firming peptides; a great solution for softer, smoother, more youthful-looking hands. "When you layer correctly, your skin holds onto that hydration differently," Thuy remarked on Instagram.
"Hands are often one of the first areas to show visible signs of ageing," Margaret Dabbs OBE, CEO and Founder of Margaret Dabbs London, previously told HELLO.
"The skin here is thinner and lacks the oil glands that help maintain elasticity elsewhere. Daily exposure to UV, environmental damage, and frequent hand washing also breaks down collagen over time," she added.
Joonbyrd has quite the celebrity following. Earlier this year, at the Golden Globes, Pamela Anderson's 'naked' manicure was enhanced by the Confetti Sky, and last year, at the 76th Annual BAFTA Awards, celebrity manicurist Imarni Ashman used the same product on Demi Moore, too.
Nicole Kidman's makeup at the Met Gala 2026
Nicole's makeup had a natural yet glamorous feel at the Met Gala - emphasising her porcelain skin to perfection. Makeup artist Gucci Westman perfected her look, using a plethora of Clé de Peau Beauté products.
The founder of high-end cosmetics brand Westman Atelier explained the makeup process on Instagram, penning: "Warm, peachy bronze tones through the eyes, a little mascara on the bottom lashes, the lip nudey and softly flushed. I love layering, mixing creams and powders, then pressing a bit of cream back on top to bring back that fresh radiance," she revealed.
