Rylan Clark has surfaced two days after opening up about a "very invasive" facial procedure he underwent last week. The British TV star, who has been open about his cosmetic procedures and health struggles in the past, candidly admitted on his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday that he had been through a recent "trauma".

After his co-star Sally Boazman said he was looking "very good these days" and asked if he had "gone under the knife recently", Rylan confessed: "Weirdly, I had something done yesterday, which was, ugh, such a trauma, I'm not gonna lie, what I had done."

"I won't go into it over the radio, because it was just quite invasive on the faces! Yeah, it was very invasive."

By Monday morning, the star was out in public for a fun day at the fair. The radio star looked in high spirits on the dodgem cars as he smiled and waved for a photo shared to Instagram by makeup artist Bernice Cole. The presenter's outing was to the Billy Bates and Sons funfair in Leicestershire, which is run by his boyfriend Kennedy Bates' family.

Rylan, who divorced from his husband Dan Neal in 2021, has reportedly been dating Kennedy since last summer. The pair went Instagram official in January with photos from a dreamy trip to the Maldives.

 Candid about past procedures

Rylan hasn't shied away from speaking candidly about his previous cosmetic work, including lip filler, over the years. The presenter previously had dental veneers fitted in 2013, which reportedly set him back £25,000 and ended up having replaced in 2021

"These teeth were the best and worst decision of my life. For the first three months of Big Brother, I was a terrible TV presenter, but everyone was just talking about my teeth," he once said.

"By the time they'd stopped talking about my teeth, I was good at my job. Literally, I learned on the job!"

Rylan was open about his painful struggle with getting "new teeth" eight years later, writing on social media: "It hurts, so much, but sometimes you just have to let go. I've taken the decision to say goodbye… to my teeth. New smile imminent." The star later shared a photo of his swollen face after having a smaller and less bright set of teeth fitted.

Along with undergoing cosmetic work, Rylan has been public with his mental and physical health struggles. In 2023, he detailed his mum Linda's fears that he had experienced a stroke after he reached nine stone and "couldn't speak properly" for two weeks.
