Ah, the Croisette has begun its annual transformation into the chicest runway - we mean, red carpet - of festival season. We can expect all the standard ingredients of the French film festival - from bombastic glamour, show-stopping ensembles and plenty of drama, on screen and off.
For decades, Cannes has held a special place in the fashion calendar. From Princess Diana floating down the red carpet in pale chiffon in 1987 to Bella Hadid in jaw-dropping Schiaparelli.
This year's festival promises lots of great films on the big screen, including highly anticipated movies such as Na Hong-jin thrilled Hope, Paper Tiger starring Adam Driver, and Bitter Christmas by Pedro Almodovar.
© Corbis via Getty ImagesThen there is of course, the dress code - which has caused a spot of controversy over the year. From women not wearing heels being refused entry to the red carpet, to last year's ban on 'naked dressing,' and so the H! Fashion team have been waiting with baited breath to see how the glamorous attendees will storm down the red carpet this year...
