Chelsy Davy and her hotelier husband, Sam Cutmore-Scott, have settled down for a sunny life on the Mauritian shores. After announcing her third pregnancy, Prince Harry's ex-partner is making plans to expand her family, and her home, in East Africa.
The 40-year-old founder of jewellery brand Aya is already a mum to a son named Leo, who was born in 2022, and a daughter, Chloe, born two years later in 2024. As she gears up to welcome another little one, she revealed the limitations she is facing with her property.
Having begun the moving process to the tropical island in December last year, the entrepreneur is already incredibly familiar with her new surroundings. Not only has she been visiting Mauritius since she was four years old, but she also held her secret wedding to Sam on the sand at the Paradis Beachcomber hotel in 2022.
Joining her parents, who moved there full-time following the Coronavirus pandemic, Chelsy and her growing brood are firmly planting roots; however, she revealed it was a little more challenging than simply picking a place and moving in.
"Only Mauritian citizens can own property on the shoreline, which limits what you can buy as a foreigner, but there’s a great rental market," she told the Standard. Chelsy continued: "Personally, I love the beach we live on and would be happy in any houses along there."
When two become three
Chelsy shared her happy pregnancy news with her social media followers earlier this week.
In a collection of images taken from the launch of her Aya collection, the mum-to-be was snapped showing off her baby bump in a flowing dark navy dress. She beamed at the camera as she enjoyed lunch with friends, celebrating her latest designs.
The caption of the image, which was originally posted by one of her close friends, read: "And the most beautiful mama to be".
Her friends and followers rushed to the comment section to share their well-wishes with Chelsy, leaving messages that read: "Congrats Chelsy on the collection and your pregnancy. Xxx", alongside a red heart emoji.
Another added: "Congratulations Ms Davy!!! How wonderful! And those new bracelets."
Chelsy is famously private about her home life and her relationship ever since she dated Prince Harry on and off, from 2004 until 2011.
Her other pregnancy announcements were just as low-key as she revealed she was a girl-mum with a subtle Instagram message in 2024, which read: "POV: it's been three years and two babies since your last new collection, but you’re mega-excited to be back in the game. Introducing the Chloe Collection, named after my baby girl. Hope you love it as much as I do."
