His Majesty King Charles III has shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, to share his solidarity with cancer patients throughout the UK. The monarch said he has been "profoundly moved" by the people he has met throughout his own cancer journey. The clip was first shared for Stand Up to Cancer in December and has been reshared by the royal family for World Cancer Day.

King Charles' wife Queen Camilla has popped up at Christ Church Primary School in London to greet pupils and open a library as she marks the National Year of Reading.

King Charles welcomes first female Archbishop of Canterbury
King Charles has welcomed the new Archbishop of Canterbury at Buckingham Palace. During the meet, Charles received the oath of allegiance from Dame Sarah Mullally in which she acknowledged the King as the supreme governor of the Church of England.
PA Media reports that the ceremony would have included Dame Sarah will have kneeing before the King and placing her hands together as if in prayer, with the King taking her hands between his own.
Dame Sarah is the first female Archbishop of Canterbury in the church’s history and her enthronement will take place at Canterbury Cathedral next month.

Marius latest
The Norwegian royals have made the strategic decision to disable comments on their official Instagram account amid a tense time for the family.
This week, Marius Borg Høiby, 29, the son of Crown Princess Mette Marit, began his trial for rape in Oslo District Court.
According to the BBC, Marius choked back tears as he gave evidence, his "voice quivering as he paused several times to take off his glasses and wipe his eyes."
William's new collab
Prince William's Earthshot Prize has unveiled a new collaboration with the Bezos Earth Fund to fund 48 pioneering solutions over the next three years.
According to the Bezos Fund website, the initiative will identify and support innovators from The Earthshot Prize’s global pool of nominations which have not been selected as Finalists for the Prize, helping accelerate transformative projects that drive meaningful progress in climate mitigation and nature protection.
The Bezos Earth Fund will provide $4.8 million, over three years, to back 16 solutions each year.
What's next for Fergie?
It has been an intense week for the York family as they navigate what's next amid the scandal involving Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and the new revelations linked to his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
As he moves to Sandringham amid the scandal, yet another change has been revealed for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. It has been disclosed that the project closest to Sarah's heart, her charity Sarah's Trust, which she set up in 2020, inspired by her role as a "new grandmother", would be closing "for the foreseeable future". Though a spokesperson said the decision had been "some months" in the making, it came hot on the heels of the latest release of documents, which even saw Sarah tell convicted sex offender Epstein: "Just marry me".

Making a change
Following their cancer diagnoses, King Charles and the Princess of Wales have made a "real-world impact" according to Cancer Research UK.
Amy Hirst, health information manager, told HELLO!: "In the 24 hours following His Majesty's announcement, we saw a 33 percent increase to our Cancer information web pages, and over the course of the following week, there were over 730,000 visits to the Cancer Research UK web pages, which is a 12 percent increase compared to the usual weekly average."
There was also a spike in traffic the day the Princess of Wales revealed that she was undergoing treatment, with "over 200,000 visits" to Cancer Research UK's information web pages, which was "a 15.2 percent increase compared to the day before the announcement".

Queen Maxima has started her training as a reserve in the Royal Army official communications for the royal house of the Netherlands has revealed.
Sharing photos of the Queen in action, their post on Instagram read: "Queen Máxima has started training to become a reservist for the Royal Army today. She registered because, like other reservists, she wants to contribute to the safety of the Netherlands."
"Reservists play a crucial role in supporting the military. Now Queen Máxima has the rank of soldier. Upon completing her education she will be awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel." Congratulations Queen Maxima!
'Death threat' allegations
Prince Harry's ongoing privacy case took a turn today, when a private investigator alleged he was sent a "death threat" by a member of the Duke of Sussex's team.
Gavin Burrows claimed he received a legal threat from Harry's legal researcher, Graham Johnson, and provided a recording of a voice message. However, another legal researcher, Dan Waddell, claimed that the voice on the recording was "that of Gavin Burrows himself".
Burrows is currently abroad and has refused to disclose his location to the Duke's lawyers.

A private dinner
His Majesty King Charles has hosted a private dinner for His Highness the Aga Khan at Windsor Castle, marking the first anniversary of His Highness’s Accession.
Last meeting
Aga Khan is the hereditary title of the spiritual leader and Imām of the Nizari Ismāʿīli Shias, a branch of Islam with approximately 12–15 million followers worldwide.
The King last received the Aga Khan, then Prince Rahim, at Buckingham Palace in July 2023, in his capacity as a member of the Aga Khan Development Network and Aga Khan Foundation, shared Buckingham Palace.
The British monarchy has a long-standing royal tradition of bestowing the title "His Highness" on the Aga Khan, and on 10th February 2025, the King granted the Aga Khan heir, Prince Rahim, the title “His Highness” after the passing of his father, Prince Karim, at the age of 88.
The King also spoke privately to the Aga Khan to share condolences on the death of His Highness’s father, Prince Karim Al-Hussaini, at the age of 88.
Black tie
The King and Aga Khan were pictured side by side in the castle’s Grand Corridor, with the King dressed in his distinctive Windsor Coat dinner jacket with scarlet collar and cuffs.
They were joined at the private dinner on the poignant anniversary by members of the Aga Khan’s family.
Kate's moving message
The Princess of Wales has issued a personal message reflecting on her own experience with cancer in honour of World Cancer Day on Wednesday 4 February.
In her message, Kate said: "On World Cancer Day, my thoughts are with everyone who is facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing treatment or finding their way through recovery."
