Fergie stripped of honour

On Wednesday, Councillors in York voted unanimously to remove Sarah Ferguson's Freedom of York honour over the former duchess's friendship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Sarah had been bestowed the honour in 1987, a year after her marriage to the then-Prince Andrew, who lost the title in 2022.

Royal birthday!

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg are celebrating their son Prince François' third birthday!

He was born on 27 March 2023 at the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Maternity Hospital and is the younger brother of Prince Charles.

To mark the occasion, the royals released a series of photos of the smiling little boy dressed in casual blue jeans and a jumper as he played in the garden, holding Daffodils and sitting in the sandpit.

Unfair treatment?

Royal author Tom Bower has claimed in his new book, Betrayal, that the late Queen Elizabeth treated her grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry, differently when they were growing up.

He alleges that the late monarch had "carefully" nurtured William to one day become King, but had "correctly assessed" Harry's "weaknesses".

Read more about how Harry's grandmother was reportedly ‘patronising’ here.

Retreat from spotlight

Following a busy few weeks of engagements, including Prince William's visit to a military base on Thursday, the Prince and Princess of Wales are temporarily scaling back their public appearances.

Why, you may ask? Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis break up from Lambrook School today.

Royal fans may now have to wait a few weeks before the Waleses return to the spotlight, as they continue their tradition of spending the Easter half-term privately with their three children.

Inside family mealtimes

Princess Beatrice's property developer husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, hinted at how he views mealtimes at his private Cotswolds home with their two children.

The Banda Property CEO wrote: "The dining room is where everyone eventually ends up. It is less about formality and more about connection, long lunches, late dinners, conversations that stretch on."

Pretty in polka dots

Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, 42, made a very rare red carpet appearance for the launch of the long-running American drama The Bold and the Beautiful on Thursday.

The newlywed royal has kept a low profile following her wedding to American lawyer Matthew Kumar in September 2024, but she looked pretty in polka dots for the evening in California. More details here.

Stylish as ever

Once again proving that she's the most stylish European royal, Queen Mary of Denmark delivered yet another masterclass in dressing for public occasions.

She stole the show at the Danish Heart Association Awards, held at Hotel d'Angleterre in Copenhagen, in an elegant A-line midi skirt. Styling her outfit to perfection, she accessorised with snakeskin print pumps and the most beautiful statement necklace.

Queen Mary is most certainly one to watch in the style stakes...

King Charles suffers 'disaster'

We love this photo of the monarch's shock when a plaque unveiling went awry. King Charles' expression is so relatable as the plaque fell to the floor.

Luckily, the moment was quickly salvaged - but not before photographers had captured his shock expression as he uttered the word "disaster"!

Charles toured the headquarters of Oxford PV (Photovoltaics) which has developed solar panels that are significantly more efficient than conventional products and were described by the King as "so vitally needed".

The head of state has been championing sustainability and climate action for decades, speaking regularly about the threat to the planet and adopting practical measures like running his Aston Martin car on eco-fuel.

William and Kate's student digs

The Prince and Princess of Wales famously met while studying at St Andrews University, but did you know where they lived off-campus together?

The royal couple once lived in a cottage on the Strathtyrum estate, a 400-acre plot owned by Henry Cheape.  Balgove House offered up privacy and was handy for their university commitments, but it required a royal overhaul ahead of them moving in.

Zara Tindall in action

Here's a stellar shot of Zara in action at the Barbury Horse Trials. Her horsemanship is impressive!

The royal considers it an "unmissable" part of the early season to get her horses (Class Affair and Showtime, pictured) back into a competitive rhythm before the high-stakes five-star events like Badminton in May.

Prince William's vow

According to a royal biographer, the Prince of Wales is committed to shielding his children from the "inherent cruelty" traditionally found in the "heir and spare" dynamic.

The new report suggests that William is focused on ensuring that Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, are fully equipped to pursue "independent lives" outside the shadow of the crown while Prince George, 12, prepares for his future role as King.

Duchess of Westminster reappears

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have enjoyed a rare public engagement together. Olivia hasn't been seen since giving birth last July, so it was a pleasant surprise to see the pair pop up at Chester FC Community Trust.

They heard how King George V Sports Hub, supported by the Westminster Foundation, is helping grassroots football and communities across Chester.

The Duke, also known as Hugh Grosvenor, and the new Duchess of Westminster tied the knot at Chester Cathedral on 7 June 2024, bringing together royals and high-profile guests, including their close friends Prince William and Princess Eugenie.
