Sarah Ferguson is reportedly on the run once more after concluding her stay at a luxury £14k-a-week Alpine resort in Austria.

The ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been "desperately phoning" her wealthy friends for help after her location was finally exposed after seven months, according to a new report in the Daily Mail

The former Duchess, 66, was pictured staying at a £2,000-a-night apartment at the Mayrlife wellness spa in Altaussee, near Salzburg, two weeks ago, after vanishing from the public eye for 213 days.

But her sanctuary has now reportedly been "compromised" after her location was exposed. Sarah previously stayed at the resort in 2023, calling it a "safe place" and a "sanctuary" in promotional videos after her cancer diagnosis.

Sarah Ferguson's very luxurious stay

According to the new report in the Mail, Sarah cashed in on the luxurious opportunities the resort had to offer during her stay, and is believed to have checked in nearly a month ago.

The disgraced former Duchess is said to have barely left her room and ordered her meals through room service – with her favourites including bresaola ham with mozzarella and chicken breast.

She even had a visiting hairstylist who arrived to do her hair back in March. The resort also boasts a stunning lake, walking trails and clay tennis courts.

It's not known how she funded the stay. Previous reports have speculated that Sarah is "cash-strapped" following the latest Epstein revelations in January and October, meaning she's unable to turn to her usual sources of income, such as book deals.

Sarah's fall from grace

Sarah is said to have been travelling around Europe since December, when she was last seen in the UK for her granddaughter, Athena's, christening.

Sarah and Andrew have met with disgrace since the Epstein files release in January

In late January, the US Department of Justice released a new batch of documents, containing new details about Sarah's friendship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, landing her in further disgrace.

They showed that Sarah had taken her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to visit him shortly after he was released from a Florida jail in 2009, while in other emails she urged him to "just marry me", despite denouncing him publicly. However, the emails do not contain any indication of wrongdoing on her part.

In recent months, she has also been dropped as patron of multiple charities, including Julia's House, a children's hospice in Corfe Mullen, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, Prevent Breast Cancer, the Children's Literacy Charity, and the British Heart Foundation.
