Meghan Markle reflected on a "difficult seven years" in a personal message about her horoscope over the weekend – and now, an astrologer has revealed their take.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, reshared a post from an Instagram account called "Astrology is for Everyone" that was captioned "Taurus, Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius ending the hardest seven years of their lives on April 25th". It featured a video of two men dancing in celebration.

The post has been interpreted by many as a dig at the royal family, as seven years ago, in 2019, Meghan was still a working royal following her wedding to Prince Harry.

Meghan, who has her birthday on 4 August, 1981, is a Leo, which is a "fire" star sign in the Zodiac.

In a second post, Meghan's horoscope suggested her "confidence took hits it had no business taking", causing her to question her "creative direction", "spotlight", and "worth". The two-paragraph message speculated that this had been "exhausting" but that the pressure would "lift" on April 25. "You get the space to just exist without fighting for it," it added.

An astrologer's view

Speaking to HELLO!, astrologer and psychic Inbaal Honigman has now given her take on the real meaning behind Meghan's horoscope.

She revealed that Meghan's star sign, Leo, has experienced "intense and unexpected changes due to Uranus and Taurus" since 2018, which is "quite the chaotic combination". This can cause disruption for "careers, social status, home life and goals", while love planet Venus going into retrograde in 2023 would have "shaken up her home life".

However, Inbaal claimed that Leo was not "the worst nor the most directly affected" out of all the star signs.

"Taurus have had it the roughest, because this planet was directly in their sign, ushering unwelcome surprises," she said.

Inbaal continued: "Aquarius have had a tough time too, because Uranus is their ruling planet. Scorpio, King Charles's sign, and Leo, Meghan's sign, have certainly felt the rough edge of Uranus in Taurus, but not as acutely as Aquarians and Taureans."

What's next for Meghan?

Luckily, it appears that Meghan's difficult seven years could be over for now, and she's set to enjoy a period of "good fortune" with her family.

Inbaal said: "In the middle of 2026, Jupiter, planet of luck, will go into Meghan's star sign, Leo. This lucky planet will walk with her for 12 months, meaning that Meghan, and other Leos, will enjoy a lot of good fortune."

But it won't all be plain sailing. "The next Venus retrograde in Leo will take place from July 20, 2031, to September 1, 2031, which means that Meghan's work/life balance will be disrupted again," Inbaal said.

What has Meghan said about the royal family?

Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties at the start of 2020, starting a life in the US with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The couple later signed high-profile deals with Netflix and Spotify, both of which have now come to an end. Meghan has spoken openly about her difficulties in the royal family, such as during the couple's interview with Oprah in 2021.

During their joint tour of Australia earlier this month, the Duchess said she was the "most trolled person in the entire world" for 10 years.

Speaking at the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne, Harry echoed her sentiment, saying he never wanted to be a working royal after the death of his mother, Princess Diana. He also said he had felt "lost, betrayed, or completely powerless" at various points during his life.
