Donald Trump has been making headlines during the King's state visit to the US.

One viral moment you may have missed saw the US President engage in a 10-second handshake with  King Charles, which some royal watchers have coined a "power move."

On Monday, the King and Queen were greeted by the US President and First Lady Melania Trump shortly after they touched down at a military base in Maryland, just outside Washington.

In the video, which you can see above, Trump can be seen giving King Charles a firm handshake during which he appears to push the Monarch's hand back towards him, the interaction lasting for almost 10 seconds.

The moment didn't get missed by royal watchers who were quick to analyse the shake, which Donald has famously done countless times when meeting public figures. 

One Instagram user replied: "[Donald]  thinks it’s a power move, asserting dominance. Meanwhile, a second person penned: "I've always noticed when shaking hands, Trump pulls the person, a sign of overpowering. The back and forth was beautiful! Way to go, King Charles!!!!!"
