Is anyone else loving the new lease of life at Marks & Spencer? I’ve found myself wandering through the aisles twice this week already, and the spring energy is just contagious. It’s easily my favourite time to shop and right now the gorgeous, fresh new-season pieces are taking centre stage.
What's trending at M&S right now?
Denim: From the barrel leg takeover to the patch pocket jeans that give major Victoria Beckham vibes, the denim is on point at M&S right now. And don't get me started on the denim bomber jacket that's trending right now.
Colour pops: The sunshine is finally here (albeit sporadically) and M&S has some lovely colour pops. I'm gravitating to the lemon shade on site and the gorgeous rose hue.
Jackets: I'm over wearing a coat now so I'm thrilled to see jackets taking over at M&S. From faux leather to denim and even barn jackets-a-plenty, there are lots to choose from.
Now, I know the headline of this article might come off sounding a little smug, but honestly, I just have a skill at finding really good things at Marks & Spencer (whether I'm browsing in-store or having a cheeky look at the website). Maybe it's because I've worked in the fashion industry for 15+ years - you just become in tune with the hero pieces that are being sold, and you get to see previews before everyone else.
Sometimes it's as simple as how the item is photographed for the website. For example, there are certain models you know some brands save for the best items. Or, it might also be because I shop for a living on HELLO! and our readers just love looking at the latest new-in pieces at M&S - join the club!
The biggest reason is probably because I love a bit of Marks & Spencer, and I have done for the past ten years or so. I remember when I worked at Elle Magazine and the M&S flagship store was close by so I'd always be having a little browse on my lunch hour.
I'm forever trying on new season buys in the name of "research"
The brand is so strong right now - and countless celebrities wear the brand. But let's talk about the new season, shall we? I'm seeing lots of sequins, faux fur, burgundy, leather, suede and perfect fall accessories. It's all looking very exciting. I've included some essentials for your autumn wardrobe refresh.
How I chose the best new-season M&S buys for 2026
Wow factor: What made me go 'wow', and what made me want to add to basket. Everything below is what I think looks stylish and perfect for the new season.
Versatility: I wanted all of these pieces to be added to your wardrobe with ease and could be worn to work, too.
Style: I wanted to choose stylish buys only. Like I said, I have spidey senses when I look on M&S, so I just went with my gut on this one. Enjoy!
This shirt is part of a new spring co-ord and I couldn't resist making the splurge. I love how it blends smart tailoring with delicate detail, and how the intricate embroidered lace and the scalloped hem add a playful, feminine finish.
Marks & Spencer is my go-to for spring knitwear and I'm definitely going to be purchasing this medium rose knit. It's designed in an easy regular fit, with a flattering cropped length and a timeless crew neckline.
I've literally just pressed 'add to basket' on this skirt. As someone who usually steers clear of the denim skirt, I predict this one will be super flattering thanks to the asymmetric design.
I am obsessed with the look of these grey palazzo trousers that are new at M&S. I predict you'll get so much wear out of them come as we move into summer.
This denim jacket is comfortable to wear but still looks super cool thanks to the leather detail on the collar. Size down if you're not a fan of an oversized fit.
I had to look twice at the price tag - £36?! Are you sure? This tote bag features two top handles creating an elegant shape, and the lined interior has a secure zip fastening and includes a zipped pocket to organise your belongings.
If a leopard print jacket is too wacky of an idea, how about opting for accessories instead? Elevate your outfit with these simply chic leopard print Mary Jane ballet pumps.
The barrel jeans trend isn't going anywhere, and if you've yet to wear this surprisingly flattering fit, be sure to give M&S' pair a try. These will be easy to style with seasonal staples and dressier pieces alike.
We're in jacket season and this one is gorgeous. The cotton-rich satin gives it an expensive feel. Pair with jeans and a tee - it comes true to size but if you prefer a slightly looser fit, size up by one.
Be warned, barn jacket-esque jackets are selling out in seconds on M&S! I love the caramel shade of this coat. I'd wear this off duty at the weekends modelled exactly how the model has been styled.
If the thought of baring your feet is too much to handle, save these for when the temperature rises. If you're in the market for a pair of fab Mary Jane shoes, you'll love these. They're so stylish and look way more expensive than they are.
In case you didn't get the memo, scarves like this are trending. Animal print is also having a moment so that's two trends nailed for the price of one.
The fashion crowd have been using brooches to pin scarves, and their coats, and it makes a dramatic impact. This could really amp up your look in 2026.
The sun is finally out and I'm in the mood to shop. From the ‘It’ bag of 2026 to the barrel-leg jeans you actually need, I’ve curated the ultimate spring refresh.
