Cat Deeley looked as fresh as a daisy on This Morning, embracing the classic polka dot pattern - it's becoming something of a Cat Deeley staple. The TV presenter's chic polka dot outfit looked like a dress, but she revealed it's a little bit different to what you might think.
Taking to Instagram, Cat revealed her white and black spotty look is in fact a blouse and matching skirt. "Yes, it's a two piece!" she told viewers, as she twirled around in the flowing outfit.
- Cat Deeley wore a polka dot ensemble on This Morning, Tuesday March 17.
- Cat's dotty ensemble is from Zara.
- The 49-year-old often wears polka dots, leaning on the classic pattern for her This Morning outfits.
Cat, 49, looked every shade of chic in the two piece, which is in fact a blouse and midi skirt from Zara. Looks far more expensive than the high street, doesn't it?
Proving polka dots are anything but boring, Cat teamed the Zara polka dot blouse, £45.99, with its matching skirt, £59.99, giving co-ords a more elegant, sophisticated vibe with its draped silhouette.
Plus, rather than being a one piece, two means you have more options and chances to wear them separately. How great would the blouse look with jeans? Or the skirt with a boyfriend chunky knit and boots?
The blouse itself isn't just your run of the mill blouse either. The billowy shape is anchored by a high neck and fitted cuffs, giving the whole look a seventies style feel.
As for the skirt, it's a timeless high-waist midi skirt, made from the same material as the blouse so has a loose, carefree silhouette.
Both pieces are selling fast at Zara, being some of their most in demand pieces. For now, both are available in all sizes from XS - XL.
How to wear a polka dot outfit like Cat
- Smart casual: Is it me or is that blouse crying out for jeans and heeled boots? It's the sort of look you could wear to a bar or a night out, or a fancy dinner with friends.
- For the office: Add black trousers with the blouse or a cami and black blazer with the skirt for a cool, smart look.
- For an event: Do it like Cat and wear them together. I'd skip wearing this to a wedding, but the races, a christening or a dressier event would be this outfit's most desired invitation. Add slim black heels or a block heeled shoe, or like Cat a pair of knee high heeled boots and a belt to break up the two piece.
Get The Look For Less
Polka dot blouses are a high street staple, but to emulate this look you need one with a high neck and drapery accents.
Zara has a similar blouse, priced at £29.99, with a funnel neck and neck tie.
Although more expensive than Cat's outfit, Mint Velvet has a very similar dress version which includes a slip dress with a matching cape, which creates the same look as Cat's. It's a stunning high street piece, priced at £220.
The cape can be worn separately, layered over a cami with jeans. The dress can also be worn without the cape, casually with chunky sandals or dressed up with a trophy jacket.
