When it comes to Manhattan landmarks, few hold the prestige and "if these walls could talk" allure of the Loews Regency New York Hotel.
Situated on the corner of Park Avenue and 61st Street, this iconic hotel has long been the backdrop for high-stakes business deals, Hollywood royalty, and the legendary "Power Breakfast."
I was lucky enough to enjoy a luxury stay and everything was divine. From its chic, modern rooms to its latest sensory-driven cocktail revolution, here is what you can expect when you check into the city's most sophisticated stay.
A Room with a View
Stepping into the Loews Regency felt like I was entering the private residence of a very stylish, very wealthy New Yorker. The impressive and spacious guest rooms and suites offer a masterclass in Upper East Side chic. The velvet textures, neutral tones, and oversized windows frame the shimmering skyscrapers of Midtown or the leafy charm of Park Avenue.
For those looking for the ultimate splurge, the hotel's Signature Suites are themed to perfection, ranging from an uptown bohemian suite, to a classic 1920s two-bedroom apartment.
Service with a smile
Nothing was too much for the team at Loews and perhaps that's not surprising given the hotel prides itself on "knowing its guests," which is a tradition started by founder Bob Tisch, who famously interviewed every bellman himself. The level of natural hospitality made the grand hotel feel like a private club, of which I was part of.
Guests can enjoy elevated perks such as overnight shoe shining, access to the state-of-the-art Julien Farel Fitness Center and a "coffee-to-go" service at The Regency Bar each morning.
Let's not forget the Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa which is described as "an oasis for all your beauty and wellness needs." While time didn't permit me a pamper session, I heard rave reviews from other guests about the ‘Power Hour’ treatment where guests receive three or four simultaneous services in an hour.
The Regency Bar & Grill
While the 'Power Breakfast' remains a must-do for any visitor, the restaurant is debuting a fresh Spring menu to complement it's new Alchemy beverage program. With Easter and Mother’s Day around the corner, the hotel is also rolling out special seasonal offerings that make it the premier destination for a family celebration in the city.
Introducing Alchemy by Loews
The biggest news coming out of the Regency this season is the launch of Alchemy by Loews. This brand-wide beverage program is designed to turn your evening "nightcap" into a full sensory experience. The exciting program is inspired by botanical apothecaries.
"Alchemy by Loews is about elevating the everyday ritual of enjoying a beverage into something quietly memorable," said Grant Hewitt, Vice President of Beverage.
One standout to try? The Lavender Sparkle—a refreshing blend of Seagram’s Gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup, topped with 3oz of crisp Brut champagne. It's the perfect botanical sip to transition from a day of shopping on 5th Avenue to a night on the town.
