Congratulations are in order for new dad Ansel Elgort.
The Baby Driver actor, 31, has confirmed he recently welcomed his first child, calling fatherhood "exhilarating," and "exhausting."
His confirmation comes weeks after it was first reported that he had welcomed his first baby, who he has shared is a boy, after he was spotted out and about in New York City on January 13, carrying the newborn with him.
Taking to Instagram, Ansel, whose father is legendary photographer Arthur Elgort, shared a black-and-white portrait of him with his baby boy, both wearing Fair Isle sweaters.
"Fatherhood is exhilarating, exhausting, it's everything and more," he wrote, adding: "The present feels more present and the future brighter."
Giving insight into his first weeks of fatherhood, he shared: "He wakes us up all night and yet I've never felt stronger during the day. He goes from crying to laughing, expressing everything he feels and it's freed me to do the same."

Fans and celebrity friends alike were quick to take to the comments section under the post and issue their congratulations, with his The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent co-star Shailene Woodley commenting on a prior post, a video of him singing to his baby, a heart-eyes emoji.
Others followed suit with: "I just finished watching Fault in Our Stars for about the 10th time. I opened my Instagram and saw this post. God bless you," and: "Congrats. Soooo happy for you," as well as: "Congrats you guys!!! The biggest gift life can give."
© Getty ImagesIt remains unclear who Ansel welcomed the baby boy with, though when he was spotted carrying him back in January, he was seen with a mystery woman by his side, and was snapped at one point with his arm around her on the subway.

Ansel's father Arthur shares him with his wife Grethe Barrett Holby, a theatre producer, stage director and choreographer best known for her work in opera, to whom he has been married since 1983. They are also parents to fellow photographer Sophie Elgort, born in 1986, and filmmaker Warren Elgort, born 1989.
