Michael Douglas has big news to share!

The two-time Oscar-winning actor, 81, took to social media to announce that he has written a memoir, to come on October 6, which you can watch in the video above.

Courtesy of Grand Central Publishing, per a press release from the actor, it looks like the Wall Street star is prepared to hold nothing back. "This book is about where I came from, what I fought against, and what I chose for myself," his statement read. "Fame can blur the truth; this is my attempt to bring it back into focus."

The press release dubbed his book a "raw, career-sweeping memoir," that spans his early life and rise to stardom, from being "Kirk Douglas' son" to a Hollywood A-lister in his own right. The release further comments on his "complicated relationship with his father."

It also promises accounts of "affairs with some of the most celebrated actresses in Hollywood, his own serious drug addiction which threaten to destroy his first marriage and career, the heartbreaking battle to save his son from a terrible drug addiction that sent him to federal prison at thirty-one years old, and an against-all-odds battle with stage four cancer."

The memoir also touches on his long marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, of which it writes: "Initially dismissed as just another Hollywood relationship, but they proved the skeptics wrong about their age gap and stayed together through relationship troubles, health issues, tabloid gossip and are still going strong after twenty-five years of marriage."
