Heidi Klum rarely shies away from a daring number on the red carpet, and her sartorial agenda of the 2026 Grammys proved to be no different. The supermodel donned a nude, skin-tight latex mini dress that hugged every contour of her body.
The garment was custom-made by Berlin label Marina Hoermanseder and featured a sculptural silhouette with a bandeau neckline. The nude number was cut elegantly on the knee and was adorned with leather and harness accents with a series of gold buckles on the side of the dress. The striking look was styled with matching nude, pointed-toe heels.
Heidi's luscious blonde locks were left down in soft waves while her makeup oozed soft glam, courtesy of a smoky eye, pinch of blush, and pink lip.
However, the 52-year-old has since revealed that she originally planned to wear the dress to last year's show instead. "A different dress came in," she told People. "And I changed my mind again last minute."
"I thought this is a true Grammy dress because people are a little bit more expressive there with their fashion," she added. While the dress looked incredible, it wasn't the most comfortable to wear according to the supermodel.
Heidi explained that the fabric was so rigid it made walking difficult, turning even small movements into a careful effort. The piece was made from lacquered, spray-treated leather designed to maintain its structured silhouette.
Resembling protective armour, the outfit encased her from front to back. With no slit or flexibility in the material, she was unable to move in her usual stride.
"It was very hard to walk in it because it is very hard material," she shared. "It’s kind of like an armor piece, front and back. There’s no slit, and so there is just no give. So you can only do baby steps, tiny little baby steps. That’s why there’s a lot of fun memes going around now of me running around on the red carpet."
Heidi "got to keep" the daring ensemble, and it's now "in its gorgeous box and back in the basement."
The supermodel is no stranger to a cinching latex gown. Who could forget when she wore a black and white PVC dress while attending the Victoria's Secret fashion show after-party at M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City in 2009?
The midi dress showcased an asymmetrical hem and a high neckline, highlighted by bold black-and-white color blocking that created a dramatic visual contrast.
Ellis Ranson, a celebrity stylist and host of the hit fashion podcast Talk In Wardrobe, spoke to us about Heidi's love affair with latex. "Latex on Heidi Klum feels less like a trend and more like a signature, and it's no surprise with her figure," she said. "Latex only works if you own it, so even if you can't walk, if you work that red carpet and smile and wave, it can photograph beautifully and exude confidence and power.
