Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones' words have come back to haunt them!
On the Monday, March 9 installment of TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, the co-anchors appeared somewhat taken by surprise, when, seemingly reading the teleprompter, they realized for the first time that they were implementing a phone ban on set.
The two then explained that they had casually suggested it on the previous episode on Friday, inspired by Noah Wyle's well-documented rule on the set of The Pitt, where phones aren't allowed.
Jenna and Sheinelle are officially going phone-free on set for one week, of which the former said: "I feel like we're being punished!" before ultimately relenting that it's "not that hard," bidding farewell to her phone, which was whisked away in a white bag.
"It will feel good to be free of the phone," Jenna added, before calling out the crew and producers who had failed to put away their own phones.
