Over 123 players are competing at the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass which kicked off on March 12 in Florida.

Amongst those players are five professional golfers who are raking in the highest net worths of the competitive group.

The winner of the tournament will acquire $4.5 million as their grand prize, while the runner-up will receive $2 million. Golfer Rory Mcllroy is the reigning champion to beat in order to secure the biggest payout.

Rory takes the top spot for being the tournament's highest earner with an impressive $250 million net worth, per multiple reports.

He has had a successful career and won five major championships including the British Open, U.S. Open, Open Championship, PGA Championship, as well as three FedEx Cups.

Believe it or not, he started playing the sport when he was only 18 months old thanks to his father who was a golfer himself. Rory then started training at seven years old at the Hollywood Golf Club.

Scottie Scheffler is the runner-up when it comes to the highest earners list at the tournament, with his jaw-dropping net worth of $110 million, according to multiple reports.

The athlete has won four major championships, including the 2022 Masters Tournament, two Masters tournaments in 2024 and the 2023 Players Championship.

On top of that, he also secured the top spot at the 2025 PGA Championship and 2025 Open Championship. He began golfing at the young age of three thanks to his parents.

Tommy Fleetwood comes in third place with his $20 million net worth, per multiple reports.

He has won the 2018 U.S. Open, the 2018 Ryder Cup, the 2019 Open Championship, the 2021 Ryder Cup and more.

Tommy had a successful golfing career growing up and he won the English Amateur competition at Little Aston Golf Club in 2010. Soon after, he became a professional golfer.
