Spring is already turning out to be a particularly fulfilling time for Joanna and Chip Gaines, who spent spring break at their newly-transformed Colorado mountain home.
Joanna, 47, took to Instagram to document the family's quick getaway with Chip, 51, and their kids. The couple share five children, with their two oldest, son Drake, 21, and daughter Ella, 19, now off at college. Their youngest three, Duke, 17, Emmie, 16, and Crew, seven, still live at home in Waco, Texas.
However, as can be seen in the video above, the former Fixer Upper host revealed that not only was Ella able to join the family's trip, but so did Drake, who pulled off a surprise visit to get the entire Gaines gang together.
"Spring break '26," Joanna captioned the clip, which included activities like "card games for days, skiing, bowling, fishing" and "campire-ing," and she added: "My oldest surprised me so all five of my babies were there."
Fans loved the sweet glimpse of the family's trip to the mountains, especially seeing how their refurbished home (the process for which was captured on their show Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House) finally turned out.
"Family-ing is a verb — and your familying kinda makes the heart burst happy. So good, Mama," one gushed, with another saying: "Thank you for sharing. Family is everything. You are blessed to be able to share these types of experiences with them," and a third also adding: "Such a dream! I loved watching this transformation!"
