A new project means a new look for Travis Bacon, it seems.
Over the weekend, the composer and first-born son of actors Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon stepped out with a new look, revealing he cut off most of his typically long black hair while attending a premiere for his new movie with his family.
In addition to the black metal singer, 36, the The Summer I Turned Pretty actress and the Footloose actor, who have been married since 1988, are also parents to daughter Sosie, 33.
Following the premiere of the family's new horror comedy movie, Family Movie, the first time all four have collaborated on a film together, Kevin took to Instagram and shared a video montage giving a glimpse into their SXSW premiere of the movie, featuring the bunch singing Drake's "Nice For What."
The video also highlighted Travis' new hair, a slicked back, bob-like mohawk of sorts with shaved sides, quite the transformation from his previous long black hair.
"Premiering #FamilyMovie at @sxsw was one for the books," Kevin wrote in his caption, and fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: "The coolest family ever," as others followed suit with: "This might be the coolest family in all of cinema!" and: "You are such a sweet and funny family," as well as: "This is the content I want to see when I'm scrolling my feed!!!"
The fittingly-titled Family Movie follows a filmmaking family who finds themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of their low-budget slasher, forcing them to cover up the murder to keep filming.
Kyra, speaking with the rest of her family with Entertainment Tonight, about how the project came to be, shared: "I don't think that we were necessarily looking for something to do together," and that in fact, she was "nervous" to pitch it to Sosie and Travis, and later surprised by their enthusiasm.
"We pitched it to the kids, thinking that they probably wouldn't be into it," she said, adding: "I was so nervous. And they actually said yes. I was like, 'Wait, what? You wanna work with your parents?' It was pretty monumental."
"Oh, I had reservations for sure," Sosie did admit, noting: "I think we all were concerned that things would come up, we would get into arguments…little tensions and stuff would arise. In this situation, because we're on set, tensions are already really high."
However, she next shared: "It ended up being the opposite. Like, we had no tension. We were so collaborative. And I don't think any of us expected that going into it, how easy it was, and how nice everybody was to each other."
"It felt extremely collaborative and like everybody's voices were heard. It was magical," her brother Travis concurred.
