Jeff Cohen starred as Lawrence Cohen, also known as Chunk, in The Goonies, the food-loving, chronic liar who lives in Goon Docks in Astoria. Known for his signature dance the 'Truffle Shuffle', he's a beloved member of the Goonies crew.
But what has Jeff been up to since he shuffled away from Astoria and why haven't seen him onscreen since the early '90s?

Early career
It's hard to imagine that Jeff had much of a career before he shot to fame as Chunk which he filmed at just 10 years old. But when The Goonies was released, he'd already been working for a few years, his debut credited to TV movie Little Shots in 1983.
Following his first onscreen credit, Jeff appeared on TV shows like Tales from the Darkside, Webster and The Facts of Life as well as an episode of Kids Incorporated.

Later career
After The Goonies, Jeff appeared in a few episodes of popular ongoing series. He featured in two episodes of Amazing Stories, returned to Family Ties for a second episode, voiced Wimpy in Popeye and Son and appeared on She's The Sheriff as Percy in 1987.
His last two onscreen castings were a voiceover role in Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School in 1988 and Perfect Harmony in 1991. He's since worked as a producer and production attorney.

What's he up to now
Jeff happily left acting behind in 1991 and currently works as an attorney. He hasn't forgotten his Goonies family though and even negotiated his co-star Ke Huy's contract for what would become an Oscar-winning role in Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022).
He keeps quiet about his private life so details are sparse, but his IMDb suggests this is by design. According to his page, the actor has stated: "It was fun being an actor, but by the time college rolled around, I was ready to try some new things. By the time I graduated, I realised I enjoyed having a normal life and I never went back."
