In recent years, you'd be hard pressed to find a more polarizing figure in pop culture than Bill Cosby.

Once revered and celebrated for championing Black families and culture through his work, most notably The Cosby Show, the actor, now 88, has become a Hollywood pariah of sorts due to the numerous sexual assault allegations and cases that have been levied against him.

Most recently, on March 23, he lost a lawsuit filed by Donna Motsinger in which she claimed that he drugged and assaulted her after one of his comedy shows back in 1972, resulting in her being awarded $19 million in damages.

However, the comedian's family has remained steadfast by his side over the years, in particular mirroring the Huxtables on The Cosby Show. The on-screen family was, in fact, inspired by the real members of Bill's own family.

Take a deeper dive into his life with his longtime wife and their kids below…

Bill's wife, Camille Cosby

Camille Olivia Cosby, née Hanks, now 82, serves as the inspiration for Clair Huxtable. A TV producer and philanthropist, as well as an avid art collector, she has worked side by side with her husband for over six decades. She met Bill on a blind date while attending the University of Maryland, and the pair quickly got engaged and tied the knot in 1964.

She served as a consultant for her husband on The Cosby Show and has since worked extensively as a producer and director, with some of her credits including the Broadway production of the play Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years and its TV adaptation, the 2004 Fat Albert movie, and several of her husband's specials.

Camille has also authored several books and forewords, and donated millions to HBCUs around the nation, including a historic $20 million donation in 1988 to Spelman College. She has defended her husband against the assault cases, saying in a 2014 statement: "The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man ... and a wonderful husband, father and friend."

Erika Cosby, 60

Erika Ranee Cosby, born in April 1965, is the oldest of Bill and Camille's five children. She inherited her parents' love for art and is now a professional artist. She has degrees from Wesleyan University, the School of Visual Arts, and the University of California, Berkeley, and was also an adjunct professor at New York University in the early 2010s. While she keeps out of the public eye now, she actively works and showcases her art in New York City, currently displaying at Platform Project Space as "Erika Ranee."

Erinn Cosby, 59

Erinn Chalene Cosby, born in July 1966, is among the more private members of the Cosby family. Very little is known about her life now, save for the fact that she also pursued an arts degree and now works as a professional photographer. However, in an eerie case of foreshadowing, in 1992, Erinn publicly came forward with a claim that she was assaulted by Mike Tyson in 1989, shortly after the boxer was convicted of rape. No criminal charges were sought, however.

Ennis Cosby, 1969-1997

Ennis William Cosby was born in April 1969, Bill and Camille's only son. After enrolling at Morehouse College, Ennis realized he was dyslexic, then using his experiences to tutor students in elementary and high schools and working with other students struggling with learning disabilities.

At the age of 27, he began working toward a doctorate in special education. However on January 16, 1997, Ennis was tragically killed by Mikhail Markhasev during what was seemingly a robbery gone wrong while changing a tire by an interstate. The Cosbys received an outpouring of grief and the incident (and resulting trial) became a media firestorm, with the family then establishing the Ennis William Cosby Foundation to benefit learning disability programs.

Ensa Cosby, born in April 1973, maintained a private life as well, and was known to work as a yoga instructor. Not much is known about her personal life, save for her marriage to Martin McLean and the fact that they shared one child together. In 2018, Ensa passed away aged 44 of renal disease, while awaiting a kidney transplant. "The Cosby Family thank many people for their prayers for their beloved and beautiful Ensa, who died from renal disease," a statement from the family at the time read.

Evin Cosby, 49

Evin Harrah Cosby, born in August of 1976, is the youngest of the Cosby siblings. In 2017, Evin published an open letter in support of her father, in which she also explained that she works in fashion design and is a single mom to two children. "When people are so quick to cast hate and make accusations of horrific violence against my dad, they are callous in their carelessness about the harm they are causing to others," she said, per The Hollywood Reporter.
