Jenna Bush Hager took a dramatic tumble during the Today show on April 1.
The TV star was told by correspondent Arianna Davis that the team has a $20,000 dollar cake to show that is "all the rage right now on the internet."
Guest co-host Willie Geist was in disbelief at the cake's price and rarity and commented: "What are you talking about?" Arianna added: "They only make one of these every single day," as Willie watched a producer bring the cake to Jenna.
Before Jenna took the plate with the cake she asked: "Is it really heavy?" As soon as she grabbed it, the whole cake fell over, while she yelled "oh my."
Next, Jenna slipped on the cake frosting with her open-toe heels and slammed onto the studio's high-chair.
Willie reacts
In just a matter of seconds, Willie embraced Jenna and said: "April Fools' everybody."
The guest co-host congratulated her by saying: "Good job," but Jenna interjected: "You knew it all along?" Willie confirmed: "That was great acting...Only after you went down."
Jenna expressed: "I did get it all over my shoes," as Willie inquired: "Are you OK?" Jenna responded: "I really committed…The fall was real," as Arianna confirmed: "Yeah, that fall was bad." The TV star confessed: "But we tried to trick Willie."
© NBCWillie revealed: "I was like, 'You know, it's a crazy world out there. Someone's going to buy that for their wedding. Maybe it's real.' I didn't know why they'd send us one for free."
Willie requested to see the fall "one more time," as the duo laughed together while he screamed: "Oh, she went down."
Arianna commented: "Give this woman an Emmy right now for that," and Jenna responded: "Thank you Arianna, you're a good sport."
She showed off her beige open-toe heels covered in cake frosting, as Arianna laughed along.

The Today show captioned the clip: "The cake was fake, the fall was real and JBH is OK! April Fools' Willie."
Arianna commented: "Y'all, my shocked reaction was real because Jenna was NOT supposed to fall like that."
Fans flocked to the comment section. One person wrote: "I know the fall wasn't planned, but oh my gosh, did you make us laugh this morning!!! This video is an instant classic."
