Good Morning America's Lara Spencer enjoyed a family-filled day in Nashville, Tennessee, as she cheered on her daughter during her college lacrosse game. Katharine attends Vanderbilt University in Tennessee where she's also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
The news anchor took to Instagram to share a carousel of snaps from her time in Nashville. One photograph showed her posing with her daughter after the match. Lara wore a playful white summer dress featuring puffed sleeves, a collared neckline, and a belted waist that cinched her silhouette. The mini dress was accented with a black print and styled with oversized sunglasses and a raffia sunhat.
Meanwhile, her teenage daughter wore her college's sportswear that consisted of a v-neck top and a matching skort. Her blonde locks were swept back into a ponytail and she opted for minimal makeup.
In the caption, Lara penned: "Before and after #vandylax."
Another photograph in the post captured the GMA star posing with her husband, Richard McVey. The multi-millionaire businessman wore a black T-shirt emblazoned with 'Vanderbilt' in yellow lettering, paired with navy shorts.
Following the game, Lara enjoyed celebrating in a bar with her friends. She switched up her look and donned a pair of white jeans with a sage green top. Meanwhile, her daughter slipped into a chic brown-and-white polka dot dress.
Lara's family life
Lara and her husband, Richard, have an empty nest as Katharine's older brother, Duff, studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas. She raised her children in Connecticut, where she still resides with her husband.
The GMA star shares her two children with her ex-husband, David Haffenreffer. The couple, who split in 2015 after 15 years together, share a close co-parenting relationship. When they announced their separation, they told Page Six that their children "remain our top priority," and added: "We will raise them and care for them together." Lara met Richard back in 2016 after being set up together on a blind date and the couple tied the knot in 2018.
Speaking to Greenwich magazine about her children, Lara previously said: "I want them to dream big. That's what my parents did for me." She also told Family Circle: "Kate and Duff aren't afraid to experiment and try different things, and I really love that about them."
Lara has been at the helm of Good Morning America since 2011.
