It's an extra special, celebratory day for Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and their family.
On Monday, April 20, the couple's daughter Carys Douglas rang in her 23rd birthday around the sun, for which her family shared heartwarming tributes.
In addition to the birthday girl, the Fatal Attraction actor and the No Reservations actress, who have been married since 2000, are also parents to son Dylan, 25, plus the former is also a dad to son Cameron Douglas, 47.
For Carys' special day, Michael, 81, took to Instagram and shared a photo of the two from when they attended the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in New York City on October 28, 2025.
"Happy Birthday Carys! May YOUR new year bring you joy and inspiration," he wrote in his caption, adding: "All the love in the world! [Love] dad."
Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: So beautiful!! Happy and wonderful life!" as others followed suit with: "A legendary legacy continues through the family Michael. Wishing Carys an incredible year full of that same inspiration you've always shared with the world. Pure class and heart… enjoy the celebration," and: "Happy Birthday Carys! Wishing you a fantastic day!" as well as: "Happy birthday! She is so beautiful! She is a combination of you and Catherine!"
Catherine also took to Instagram and shared a round of photos, including of Carys as a toddler. "Happy Birthday Carys! May today and all days be as special as you. I love you," she wrote.
Last but certainly not least, her brother Dylan also shared a slew of throwback photos of the siblings as toddlers, and endearingly wrote: "23 years ago today I got a built in best friend."
"What a privilege it's been to see you grow into such an amazing woman. Happy birthday @carys.douglas. I love you," to which Carys replied back: "I love you Dylan," with a red heart emoji.
Last year, Carys graduated from Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, following in the footsteps of her brother, who majored in political science. In addition to her college studies and dabbling in singing, Carys is a budding actress, having appeared in a short film titled F*ck That Guy featuring You star Victoria Pedretti.
The Douglas-Jones siblings spent their first years of childhood growing up in their parents' compound in Bermuda, where Michael's family has deep, long ties to. His mother Diana was part of one of the oldest and most respected families in the Caribbean island, and his ancestors' roots there have been traced back to the 1600s. The compound is located in the island's Warwick Parish, though the family listed it for sale for $10.6 million in 2019.
Aside from Bermuda, Dylan and Carys were largely raised in upstate New York; the family, who have also owned a home in Mallorca, Spain for over two decades, put on the market their 22-bedroom, Georgian-style estate in Irvington in 2024.
