The Devil Wears Prada

The actor's most famous role is surely as Andy Sachs' increasingly frustrated boyfriend Nate. Throughout the film, Nate regularly criticises the changes Anne Hathaway's Andy makes to her life and personal style.

Eventually, the two split though it looks like a reunion was certainly on the cards, albeit not leaving the couple as cozy as they were at the start, in the film's final moments.

Personal life

Adrian was first linked to his now-wife Jordan Roemmele in 2017. The couple publicly revealed their relationship in 2020 as Jordan appeared in the background of Adrian's Instagram post captioned "At peace these days".

They said 'I do' in 2022 and welcomed their first son, Seiko Aurelius Grenier, the following year. Their second child, son Evren Saint-Eros, arrived in 2025.

Adrian will not be bringing Nate back for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'

Stepping away from the sequel

Adrian has opened up about not returning for the hotly anticipated follow-up to The Devil Wears Prada, telling Page Six: "Obviously, it was a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand there’s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it."

Nate became a controversial figure online with many fans criticising the character for selfish behaviour and speaking against her new career in fashion, theorising that's why Andy's ex won't be brought back.

Where is he now?

Adrian is enjoying life with his wife Jordan and their two sons, based on a 46-acre farm just outside Austin, Texas. The couple moved to the property, which doubles as a wildlife sanctuary, in August 2020.

The actor hasn't left his career completely behind, however, and has worked on several projects over the last five years including mini series Clickbait (2021), TV movie Cipher (2022) and 2026 short Self Custody. He is due to appear in 2027 rom-com You, Always.
