Aubrey Plaza, 41, looked perfectly radiant at the 79th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, as she and partner Christopher Abbott, 40, put on an affectionate display for their red carpet debut in New York City.

The Parks and Recreation star was there in support of her husband, for his role as Willy Loman's son, Biff, in Arthur Miller's Death Of A Salesman, as best supporting actor.

The couple, who surprised fans with baby news in April, are expecting their first child in the fall - having largely kept their romance under wraps, following their work together on the 2020 film Black Bear, before co-starring in the 2023-2024 off-Broadway play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.

The Delaware-born star made pregnancy look effortlessly easy, as she stepped out in a floor-length black spaghetti-strap Chanel dress, adorned with white cascading stripes from top to bottom. Minimal jewellery, paired with a muted burgundy nail, proved that the star does not need diamonds to glow.

Christopher matched his counterpart, looking every bit as dashing in a black velvet tuxedo with pants slightly cropped to show off his black boots. The stage and screen star wore a slim black necktie and a tasteful white pocket square.

The pair’s exciting news comes more than a year after the death of Aubrey’s estranged husband, Jeff Baena, who died at the age of 47 on January 3, 2025. Following the acclaimed director’s passing a year after their split in 2024, Aubrey, alongside his family, released a statement: "This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time."

It seems though the actress has found love again, and is "very grateful to be moving through the world", she told Good Hang podcast, after candidly opening up about the grief she faced following the tragic loss.

As Aubrey looks ahead, fans speculate on the baby’s gender which is yet to be revealed by the private pair. Some believe she accidentally let the sex slip just days before at the Tribeca Festival premiere of her new film, The Accompanist.

The actress was filmed on the red carpet, excitedly reuniting with her co-star, Susan Sarandon, who gushed over the star's growing bump.

Aubrey could be seen stroking her stomach before she lifted her top, as Susan sweetly blocked her bare belly from photographers. Viewers appeared to notice Susan asking Aubrey the gender of her baby, as the mom-to-be seemingly replied: "It's a girl."

While this remains unconfirmed, fans continue to speculate on the baby's gender, as the private pair continue to protect their romance and pregnancy, alongside very public careers on the silver screen.
