Overt displays of affection aren't really William and Kate's style, but the pair have used quiet gestures to make their feelings known.
The couple sealed their love in 2011 with their picture-perfect wedding day and have been each other's rocks through their ups and downs, including Kate's cancer diagnosis in 2024.

Marking his wife's birthday in 2025, William declared his love for Kate by way of an Instagram message, writing: "To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you've shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis, and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you, W."
According to leading body language expert Judi James, the couple have become more comfortable with PDA since the Covid-19 pandemic. "William and Kate's body language has undergone a steady evolution that has been sped up thanks to the pandemic and lockdown", Judi previously toldHELLO!. "Time spent together as a family appears to have created stronger bonds both as a couple and as a working team, and somehow turned back the clock in terms of their public signals of affection and love."

Generally speaking, excessive PDA is a no-no for royal couples. However, in 2014, the pair made an exception as they held hands while descending the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City following a special dinner.
